Check your front brake pads, they may have a piece attached to the pads that will make a noise when pads need changing,if you wait too long, you will mess up the disc, metal on metal.

I have a whistling noise coming from my car, this is only when moving. If I apply the brakes or am at a standstill, even if I rev the engine there is no noise. When I had service I was told my front...

Whistling noise is pretty vague. There are several possibilities. The brakes could be the source of the noise. If they're 85% gone they should be replaced anyhow regardless of whether they are the source of the noise. Otherwise the noise will no longer be your biggest problem. Disc brakes do have what is called a worn pad indicator. This is simply a metal tab that scrapes the brake rotor, making an annoying, scraping noise until the brake pads are replaced.
Other than this, there are several possibilities. Where is the noise originating? Could it be wind noise coming from an ill fitted window seal? Vacuum hoses are another noise source, although they usually only whistle when decelerating or at idle.

I have envoy brakes are realy noise

When you step on the brakes, the pads vibrate. It may be you didn't put the little gaskets, or anti-squall stuff on the BACK of the pads.
If your "kit" didn't include it, get some copper lube and apply to the back of the pads.
I know, means you have to pull the pads but it's either that or live with the noise.
Have fun:

2004 Buick rendezvous brake noise when hit brake

How long has it been since the brakes have been replaced? Different weather conditions can cause some brake noise, but when your brakes get worn down to a certain point, they will also make noise, at which point they should be replaced.

When i press on brakes i can hear a grinding noise coming from he front end, what could it be?

Brake pads are worn. That noise is the sound of the backing plate for the brake pads hitting the rotors. You will need to replace the pads and probablt the rotors. When the brakes go metal to metal like that it typically destroys the rotor.

Rear driver wheel has light reubbing noise when car in motion goes away when brakes are engaged. Is this brakes or barrings problem? Cost of repair?

hi this sounds like your brake pads have worn, or the brake shoes as well, if you have drum brakes on the back it will be shoes, if disk brakes will be pads+shoes (inside the disk) if it was the wheel bearing you would hear a loud humming noise not rubbing noise, is it a metallic rubbing noise or a rubber squeaking rubbing noise? just check condition of tyre on back if it is the squeaking rubber noise cost will depend on where you take it and if you do it yourself, possibly $40 to $50 at a garage/auto shop or possibly $20 to $30 if you do it yourself, this just depends ...hope this helps

Abs brakes chirping noise, when pedal depressed,

worn out brake pads and slightly warped rotors. Most brake pads have small steel tabs that touch the rotor at a 90 degree angle when it is time for replacement. if you keep driving on the worn pads, it will stop chirping but that just means the tabs (also called wear indicators) have broken off and repair is about to get very pricey.

Grinding noise when braking hard + noise continues when i releese my foot off the outo pedle

maybe brakes are bad ,if not then you would have to replace pads and rotors to rid noise.always allow new brakes to break in,(no hardbraking or sudden stops or riding brakes for 100 miles or you may get more brake noise.

2005 Toyota Camry Sportivo brakes making scraping sound.

Hi there,
when the noise is heard, try putting very slight pressure on the brake pedal and see if the noise goes away. If this is the case then definitely the brakes have to be removed and checked again. But if the noise is still present then it's something else doing that noise ans further investigations needs to be carried oput.

Brakes make squeaky noises along with other noises

There are a numer of reasons brakes will squeak or squeal. Sometimes excessive dust acculation wll cause it, yet another cause is the TYPE of material the brake shoes are made of. The harder the brake shoe material , the more tendency to squeak / squeal. My suggestion is use high quality brakes such as OE brakes. Hope this helps.
