SOURCE: Theft alarm sounds w/o provocation

This sometimes can also be related to the internal batteries in the alarm ECU or alarm siren module going bad. If your handy the internal batteries can be replaced without buying a new replacement unit. Otherwise, the entire module must be replaced ($$$). Lastly, you can have a Saab indy or dealer disarm the theft alarm on the vehicle. You retain your keyless operation, but the alarm is not active. This is done in the programming and adjustment menus in the TWICE unit with the Saab Tech 2 computer.

SOURCE: Theft Alarm goes off every 60 seconds

In order to disarm the alarm system, you need a tech 2 computer (usually Saab indy repair shops or Saab dealers only will have this very expensive computer and the flash cards needed) in order to change the programming in the TWICE theft alarm computer so the vehicle thinks it is not equipped with an alarm system. Two other more expensive options are replacing the entire module, or cutting the module open and replacing the internal batteries.

SOURCE: Hood a jar keeps going

have you been in accident lately? you can reset the cars computer by disconnecting the positive side of the battery for 10minutes. be sure you do not need code to reset the cars stereo! if no code needed, reset your computer. be sure to have keys in hand when you do this. you'll need those to gain entry into your vehicle when system is reset. also make sure you push in on car hood release after you shut your hood. this may help you. thank you for choosing fixya.com we are here 24/7 7days a week!

Which fuse disarms the theft alarm system on a 2003 Saab 9-3 convertable?

Taking out the alarm fuse will cause the engine to never start. Try locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key to see if it resets. If not then service the alarm system.

Your Siren alarm might be faulty. Do you have any error messages on your SID display? The siren alarm located behind the driver side fender. The Siren alarm can be replaced or bypass the unit with a Tech2 scanner. A new Siren alarm is very expensive ($360+) from the dealership. However, you can get your original unit rebuilt through BBA vendor for about $85.00 with life time warranty.

Good luck

Service theft system alarm comes on everytime I star my vehicle.

GM car just like SAABs. I presume you need to replace the batteries and capacitors in the alarm siren (backup in case you have the battery car disconnected during theft attempt). Or you can go to a GM garage and have them reprogram your car's computer with GM's Tech II to not check the battery in the alarm at startup.
Might be wrong, but sounds like the prob.

2002 Saab 9.5 Griffin 3L Turbo. Alarm comes on, for no reason?

Your alarm siren is the problem. You can replace the siren or have the Saab dealer program your car NOT to use it and remove it. When you turn off the ignition your SID will not display anything, unless the key in the ON or START position.
