How do you replace the front struts on a 2007 Mazda CX7?
There are 3 Nuts inside the Engine Compartment, There is one Bolt on the Lower Arm and you have to remove the ABS and Torsion Rod. You need a Spring Compressor to do this job.

Open the 2007 CX-7 Owners Manual (here is you don't have one http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/pdf/manuals/2007CX7OM.pdf)
Go to page 8-35 (P. 331 in the pdf). Close the hood, you're in the wrong place. Remove the cover in the front of the wheel arch to expose the headlight assembly.

you need to take it to your local dealer and raise a big fuss because this is a known problem and if you yell loud enough you should be able to get this fixed under warranty.

They're charging you for it? Since your car's only 2 years old, they should be covering it under warranty. Timing Chains don't break normally, and when they do, usually it's on a much older car. Mazda should be covering the costs for this under the power train warranty (which is good for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first)

Removing the bulb in a CX7 is a real PITA. If replacing the right bulb, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, or do the opposite for the left side. (or you can opt to remove the entire wheel on the corresponding side) You'll need to remove 3-4 of the fender well clips with a phillips screwdriver being careful not to break them. Once the screws are removed, pry back the wheel well cover to access the back of the headlamp to change the bulb.
