Car with wrench comes on at certain times and makes tranny act funny.had tranmission modual replaced.light stayed off for 4 days now it comes back on.have to pull over shut car off andrestart and light goes out.but does come back on.could it be the computer. Brain thats causing trouble

Sounds like bad grounds Grounds are at the steering column, under the dash, and behind the kick/side panels on both sides or the car.

I think both these are electrical on your car. Check wires pluggin to back of cluster, and fuses too.

There may be some loose whires going into your transfer case which will disable the 4x4 light, your speedometer, and cruise control. And if u were in 4wd when a wire became loose then it will stay in 4wd until fixed. Also check any vaccum lines not connected.

Water cold have gotten in some of the electrical and it needs to dry out, or lightning may have caused a short or burnt module. Could it be possible that water got in the fuel system? This will have to dry out deveral days before you can tell if it can be resurrected or if a component needs replaced. you should get some kind of code or check engine light if something is not working correctly.

underneath the car there is a small plug in the tranny. warm up car and go through the gears a few times. fill until fluid comes out. if fluid come out immediately. put the plug back in.

some time when you bring the car to the dealer and it does not act up.
at the dealer, mechanic can only test drive your car a short time. remember, they work on commission so they can not spend a great deal of times to test any car unless it obvious.
you know some thing wrong with your car because you drive it daily.
what you should have done is make sure they keep record of your visit. you also need to keep all the paper work showing that they checked and found nothing.
try to bring your car to the dealer while it acts up so hopefully they can catch it.
as new cars now a day have so many electronics in them, so problems like yours are inevitable

abs, traction control, tire pressure monitor and fuel economy indicators all use a speed sencer in the wheel hubs, save yourself a lot of greaf and have a mechanic do a code read and test the sencers, i had the same issue and it messes up the whole system, i ended up replacing one hub assembly for about $190,
as for your transmission acting up, put the fuse back in and change the fluid, DO NOT HAVE THE TRANNY FLUSHED, JUST A FLUID CHANGE!!! if you want to drive another day. todays tranmissions are way more complex than they need to be and have many solinoids and sencers that can and do fail, good luck.

You need to replace the day time running light modual.

the car goes in safty mode if there is an issue with the tranmission. even it there is low fluid levels, it has to be reset with a diagnostic machine prefebilly MB star

your fluid is low and quite possible you seized your tranny up apply fluid and dont just rely on dipstick for this make sure the tranny is full of fluid

your linkage to transmission might have come apart another reason for no shifting

now for the speedo
there is a little device that connects speedo cable to the tranny and then the mechanical of tranny from there is called a speedo bullet
if you seized your tranny the speedo bullet would have gotten sheared off in side the speedo bullet is wrenched on and can be wrenched off replace the bullet speedo should start working again
