It is mounted to the body in front of the tank. You will find it on the driver's side behind the rear tire.

hi remove top nuts and washers,once road wheel removed jack car up shock absorber will drop down from inner wing remove lower bolt and nut,move shock absorber up then slide out through the bottom past the lower wishbone,hope this helps(did it this way on mine)
