My 2003 jaguar x typr wouldnt start but after a jump start the engine light is on whats wrong

Yes sorry here but the electronics used on modern cars can be very difficult to diagnose especially for this oldie who was brought up with one channel TV in black and white .

Disconnect the battery and join the leads together for a while and then reconnect the battery and this should clear the engine fault light

Alternator is bad. It is not charging the battery as you drive.

You might get that second "Dr." opinion. Electronics are funny... Something is sending a signal. It may be a minor thing, but another test from a different tester might not be a bad idea.

The light is on meaning you have a code in the computer. Get car scanned this will give you a idea what is wrong.

This needs to be taken in soon. It triggered something and the light on is called the Engine Management Light. It could be telling you there is something wrong with your charging system and you don't want to find out driving late at night.

2003 Jaguar s-type Transmission fault car wont move

First off check the battery. Try and jump start it. If that does not get the vehicle running you may have a problem with your J gate as it will not start unless in park or neutral. If an internal electrical fault has happened then the micro swith may not send a signal to the ecu to allow the car to start. the J gate is the gear selector by the way

Hi .
unlikely to be immobiliser fault ,so check basics,try a set of jump leads or check battery voltage above 12.5,if the clicking is coming from the starter motor with a fully charged battery then suspect starter motor failure.

2003 Trailblazer- no power after key stuck in ignition

Sounds like an antitheft problem I would start with the antitheft system. Usually when you only have one key all keys have to be programmed together even the original. When you have more than one it is easy to program additional keys.

If the light is on in the dash then there is a problem. The Airbaf system does a self check everytime the car is started,. If there was no problem then the light wouldnt be on. See if you can have someone like a local autoparts store pull codes for you
