By pulling the fuse you basically powered unit down. You need to enter your security code to get radio working. It should be in your owners info, if not, call or bring car to Benz, provide VIN# and they'll give you code and show you entering sequence.

If you have to pull a cylinder head on a 1993-1999 4.0L or 4.6L Northstar V8 to replace a gasket or do a valve job, do not reuse the old 11mm head bolts. Also, GM has revised the head bolt torque values and tightening procedure as follows:

1. In sequence, torque all bolts to 30 ft.-lbs.
2. In sequence, rotate all bolts an additional 70 degrees.
3. In sequence, rotate all bolts an additional 60 degrees.
4. In sequence, rotate all bolts another 60 degrees.
5. Torque the front three M6 head bolts to 106 in.-lbs.

Have you checked for codes ? Might be your first place to begin checking on what is causing your air bag light to stay on.

You probably put lower amp fuses in places needing higher current ones - no big deal. The fuse box cover should have the size and location of fuses. If not get a Chilton repair book or look online - it's free this way. If you don't have a meter to check your fuses just buy new ones and replace them. Make sure car is off before replacing. Disconnect the positive battery lead for about 30 seconds and reconnect to reset check engine light. Then go somewhere where you can floor it a few times and go through the gears. This will establish a new acceleration curve.
