If white smoke appear when you take off from traffic lights or accelerating after coasting downhill then this indicates that either the engine has worm piston rings or valve guides.
You need a mechanic to do a cylinder compression test to determine if the engine rings are worn.

SOURCE: smoke and water from tailpipe

That white color is a tell tale sign of a bad head gasket, when the head gasket goes your coolant mixes with your oil and the burns off causing the white smoke. I hate to give bad news but it's not cheap or easy to replace.

Hope this helps

SOURCE: my truck blows white smoke

Hello!
There are two differnt reasons for black and white smoke coming from the tail pipe.
Black smoke means fuel runs rich (car getting to much gas). Check fuel pressure/air filter.
In some cases the white smoke means car is burning oil or transmittion fluid. Have tem checked/replaced.
If you can feel a smelly smoke it can be catalytic converter.
In a worsest scenario if car blowing white smoke it can be engine coolant is getting into an engine cylinder from a bad head gasket ,or a warped/cracked head. So you need to keep your eye on coolant level and check your engine for overheat. Also might be good to check your oil for traces of coolant (on a dipstick it would be a milky substance mixture of oil and coolant).
Good Luck

SOURCE: 325i BMW emitting white smoke

You are smelling burning antifreeze. likely a head gasket but only testing will determine that for sure...Do not drive it. get it to a shop or more damage is likely.

SOURCE: car is hard to start, keeps stalling, white smoke coming out of tail pipe

It sounds to me like you have a head gasket leaking. See if you can get a gauge and check each cylinder. Are you using alot of anti freeze?

I have a 2005 Kia Sedona 3.5 that I fill it with water and I put 50/50 antifreeze in the reservoir . 2 days later nothing , and I never see a leak , never ??

Any white smoke from exhaust? Any white foam in the oil? Water doesn't just disappear. It must be going somewhere. Bad radiator cap letting coolant escape while driving? Any overheating?

How hard is it to replace the belt on a 2005 Kia Sedona?

Under the hood you should see a sticker that shows the belt routing. You will need a ratchet and appropriate socket the pull the automatic belt tensioner over to get the belt fully in place. It can be tight if you have big arms but it is not a big job. Start to finish anyone with the tools and strength to overcome the spring on the tensioner should be able to do it in half and hour. Probably less than half that time if all goes smoothly.

2012 kia sedona white smoke comes out of exhast when first started

White smoke is usually an indication of burning antifreeze and burning oil would have a more bluish tint to it and smell like burning oil. If it's a 2012, isn't it still covered by the KIA warranty though??

Have a 2004 Kia Sedona... it struggles to start and has recently broke down several times - sometimes little or no white smoke out the back, an occasional 'clanky' noise and sudden loss of power. ...

Would you have more info on that? White smoke is typically a sign of coolant burning unless its just the typical smoke from a car warming up. You could have a very small head gasket leak that allows a bit of coolant into the cylinders when the engine cools down,(gap gets bigger) and when it warms up it seals up again. Also related to a hard start if coolant is fouling the spark plugs. The clanky sound, is it permanent or does it come and go?
