I have 2 ford ranger they are identical. One I left parked for a bout 2 weeks and when came trying to start it won't crank at all or any click or soun from the starter and no power to the solenoid. All ignition are "ON" when key turn "ON" no crank when turn to start. I did pressed the starter relay and the starter crank but the engine not start. Please advise if this truck equipted with RAP MODULE, W/O RAP MODULE, STARTER INTERRUPT RELAY, REMOTE ANTI-THEFT PERSONALITY
MODULE and where they are located. These truck are manual transmission.
The other truck has the similar problem, run the other day and the next day it won't crank at all no click from the starter. Can you please advise if the starting circuit is going through the computer box (PCM).
Thank you for your help

Before we get too far and deep, disconnect the start plug from the solenoid under the hood. This plug is on the side of the solenoid underthe hood. Turn your ignition on. Pull the wire off the solenoiid and short that terminal of the solenoid to the battery side of the solenoid to see if it turns over and possibly starts. Let me know TY
Kevin000 is right . i only add that on 2003 ranger there are two solenoid .one mounted on fender firewall under hood and one on starter..if you dont have 12 volt to the one on firewall you have wiring problem from ignition switch. if you press the relay and it cranks check for 12 volt to relay control circujt while ignition is in cranck mode ..if you get 12 volt replace relay if not replace ign switch.i hope i was helpfull
I know this is a little simplistic, but are you certain the battery is good?
Because or security system was flashing.you will have to reset the system.turn key to the run position for twelve minutes should stop flashing.try to start truck.also your key and tumbler might have to be replaced.sometimes a broken wire going to the tumbler at the base.
There are 6 things to check along with their wiring.
Does it have an Alarm system on it? It can keep the engine from turning over.
The clutch pedal/auto transmission switch.
the ignition switch.
The starter relay.
Starter solenoid.
Starter.

sounds like you might be looking to far into, the clutch switch might be the problem. try unplugging it and jumping across the terminals while trying to start engine
well if all the fuses are good, the battery is good, jumping the clutch switch isn't working, my best educated answer would be the ignition switch. I have seen cases with ford like this, but go through the ford dealer because these ignitions are coded to the vin number.

There is no alarm came out. It just not crank at all. What control the starting circuit and where those control located. There is no 12V going to the solenoid when turn the key to start and I do not know as I am new to these truck. Please advise where to start the testing.
Ok folks I understant your comments. I would if you could advise if there are some control beside the clutch switch as I mention previously eg. on interrupt starter relay anti-theft module etc and where are they located. I have the other ford problem before and jump the clucth switch and work ok for about 3 years until last 2 wks it won't crank at all.
Since I jump the clutch switch and now it won't crank what else control that may cause this not to crank the starter.
