I have a 99 dodge ram 1500. the brakes go all the way to the floor and the abs brake light comes on. i refilled with brake fluid and the light goes out the brakes work fine, then in about 2 days it happens again. i notice a lot of fluid on the ground next to the pass. rear wheel which i assume is the brake fluid. anyone know what could be happening here, and thanks for any and all help.

Sounds like the wheel cylinder or caliber is leaking.
You would pull the wheel and take a look.

Good chance you have a leak in your break line. easy way to check is have someone press break while you look under the car. best position is just behind wheel look for fluid to spray out you will see a break line from the axel area to your wheel gl

Open up the tail gate, you will see two torque screws on the inside beside the tail lights. take these out, this will free up the housing and you can change it from there.

SOURCE: 03 Ram 1500 E-Brake light flashing

its possible the switch on the e/brake unit broke, take a flashlight and locate a single/double wire that goes to the e/brake assembly (this is the piece you depress with your left foot) and look to see if the wire is broken or the switch the wire goes to is broken.

check the sensors and connections may have loosened or knocked one loose if they look ok than have truck scanned most auto stores such as auto zone/advanced auto scan for free the trouble code will narrow the problem

Did you let the fluid drain out of the master cylinder? If so, you have to bench bleed it. And you probably have air in the ABS valve assembly.

2001.5 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 4x4 Brake Pedal drops to floor

It sounds like you have a bad mastercylinder cause when you panic brake it doesn't have time to bleed through the valve in the cylinder but under normal braking your foot is on pedal longer in turn giving the fluid time to bypass the valve in the mastercylinder in turn the pedal going to the floor.

99 Dodge Ram 1500 2x4 rear brakes not working, shoes are like new only 60,000 miles on truck. front brakes appear to be the only ones working.

Try bleeding the lines. Put a 2 foot long vacuum hose on the bleeder screw, and submerse the other end in a bottle of brake fluid. Loosen the bleeder screw, and pump brakes until there are no more bubbles coming out of the hose. Tighten screw. Make sure the reservoir is full at all times. Adjust brakes if necessary.
