if it's a four cyl engine then it's the first plug on the passenger side of the car.

look inside the door there is a triangular panel near the top behind the mirror take out the push in studs and there will be three bolt holes behind it undo the three bolts and the mirror will come off

NOTE: Exterior mirror glass is serviceable only on vehicles built after July of 2001.

NOTE: Passenger side exterior mirror shown, driver side exterior mirror similar.
All mirrors

1. Position the glass in the full up position.

1. Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.

1. Release the exterior mirror glass.
   1. Insert a long flat-bladed screwdriver in the notch.
   1. Push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released.

Heated mirrors

1. Position aside the exterior mirror glass.

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All mirrors

1. Remove the exterior mirror glass (17K707) passenger side or (17T675) driver side.

Installation

1. Connect the electrical connectors.

1. Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.

1. Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the glass in place until fully seated.

Aside from the fuses, your drive side power door lock may be failing to work because of a bad door-lock relay system, or, alternatively, the locking switch/button, itself, is not malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

If its a power mirror there is more thing you will have to remove to get to the wires but if not there is a screw on the corner piece on the inside of the door. just pull the screw out and the bolts (3) that hold the mirror on are behind it. If it power then you will have to remove the door panel to access the wiring to disconnect it

Ok that makes it a little easier.

You will have to remove the door panel first.

First inside the pull cup where you pull to close the door remove the screw located there.
Now look in behind the inside door handle and you will see a cap cover,remove this and you will see another screw that has to be removed.
Now on the front of the door panel you will see 2 push pins that will need to be removed.These are 2 piece pins so take a small pick and remove the center piece first then remove the outer piece.

Now you will need a pair of needle nose pliers or a trim tool and start at the bottom of the door panel you will need to insert the pliers or trim tool and pry out(take your time and be careful not to damage panel,slide the tool along until you reach a clip then pry out to release the clip)and work your way up the sides of the door panel to release all of the clips. There will be seven of these clips.After you have all seven clips released then lift up on the panel to remove it.

Now you can remove and replace the mirror.
After getting door panel off
Peel back the water-shield.
Remove the rear view mirror mounting hole cover
Disconnect the power mirror electrical connector.
Now remove the 3 screws holding the mirror and remove.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

this is an easy fix you must remove the door panel there are several screws, then remove the upper secondary panel unbolt the old mirror bracket using a 10 mm socket and place the new one in place and re tighten replace panels and you are done..

    Lift up on the switch plate until it snaps out ,remove the bolt from under there and the bolts along the bottom of the panel. There may be a few others so look around. When all are removed lift up on the door panel(DO NOT pull towards you it will destroy the panel). Your mirror is now accessible.
