SOURCE: My 2003 subaru forester idle very rough. if you

1) Check all the vacuum hoses for a leak in the rubber hose or a hose that isn't connected. Vacuum leaks cause motors to shake and stumble on acceleration.
2) There's a plastic T connection on the back side of the engine behind and under the air cleaner box. That T connector joins together three air hoses of different sizes and is prone to breaking from heat stress. Only a Subaru dealer will have this part.
3) Even though the spark plug wires are new, you may have a bad one. Don't waste your money on cheap parts; they cost more in the long run.
Good luck!

SOURCE: 1996 Honda Accord Rough Idle Even After tune up

Perform a valve clearance inspection and adjust if necessary. Tight or sticking valves will cause a misfire or rough running concern. Note: Perform valve adjustment when the engine is stone cold. 4cyl: INT 0.26mm EXH: 0.30mm (V6 engine are hydraulic and no adjust necessary.) Also check for a sticking or stuck open EGR valve. For diagnostic purposes only: Remove the EGR valve. Place a business card over the EGR passage and bolt the EGR valve back on. This plugs the EGR ports and if the misfire goes away the EGR valve is partially stuck open and is defective.
Check for low fuel pressure. Check for low compression. Check cam timing. Check for a weak ignition coil. Also don't over look the possibility of worn or broken engine mounts which cause excessive engine movement and engine vibration. -hope this helps

SOURCE: 2003 Ford Expd. running rough @ idle -

There could be many issues. These codes read your engine is running too lean. Check : all your vacuum hoses for leaks, PCV valve and hose, MAF sensor. This may require an experienced technician to figure this out. Hopefully I help'd!!

Fuel filter for 2003 Ford F150. Engine idles rough, think it is fuel related since it started after fuel fill-up.

I'm guessing you ran out of gas? when you do that the pump can pick up trash off the bottom of the tank and clog the screen in the fuel pump. This will sound really odd but give it a shot, I do this as a simply shooting thing. find a street or dirt road that has ALOT of bumps and will jar the truck around. drive down. after doing so did it help anything. I'm saying this because driving on a surface like that can help knock trash loss from the screen and filter. The more direct way to check this is dropping the tank checking the pump and replacing the pump screen and the inline fuel filter. you can also check your fuel pressure at idle.
do you have any problems on fast acculturation? this is also caused by clogged filters or a pump that is going out.
Let me know what you find

Wont start first time rough idle

Could be multiple problems, plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter, plug wires, injector pulse, ignition coil's, etc... need to check and trouble shoot to properly repair. If you can use a manual from auto parts store try it, if not to sure then find a good shop in your area to help out. Good luck.

Engine runs extremely rough, seems to be fuel related, new fuel pump & filter installed, pressure good, run 2 bottles of injector cleaner through. Can't get to stay running under load. 1998, chev....

Have you changed the plugs, if any are fouled out or if any are worn, it takes more to fire it under load and may be spark knocking because one of the plugs can't fire off all the gas and cause it to skip or idle rough.

Fuel filter is plugged and runs rough when its in gear but runs really well when in park or neutral can anyone help me

Its because its not clogged fully it allows enough fuel to reach engine to keep it idling. Replace fuel filter. Other wise bad fuel pump or timing is off
