Sounds like an old Ford of mine. Had to put and insulator between the Carb an maniford because carb boiled gas out of the float chamber. Could just be faulty choke at operating temperature.

First check for any cracked pipes leading into the intake manifold If all OK (with no codes showing it probably is OK) try checking the fuel pressure regulator. If you smell fuel from the pressure regulator vacuum side arm (when the vacuum line has been disconnected) it needs to be replaced.

How do yo check the correct operation of the Cold Start mechanism on a Weber 28/36 DCD Carburretor?

You can look down the throat of the carb and see if the choke is actually doing anything. If so, that's really all the "cold start" mechanism is.

My 1994 5-speed manual Pathfinder sputters and jerks when it's cold

Here are the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and/or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving

1988 amc eagle wagon when starting cold it will not stay running. it will start back upwith several pumps of the gas pedal then stalls again when it finally gets to normal operating temp. then it idles...

It sounds like carburetor problems. Have you tried a new gas filter?
Check if the choke is operating properly-it may be open too far for a cold engine. The fuel level in the carburetor bowl may be set too low. You might also want to check volume flow from the mechanical fuel pump: disconnect gas line to carb and catch the fuel in a container as you crank the engine-watch fuel flow and volume-it should give a pint or two after half a minute of cranking, maybe less cranking time. Also check the needle valve at the inlet for carb-sometimes a tiny bit of trash or debris will clog up the needle valve. If all else fails, try a rebuild kit for the carb-those simple old carbs should be easy to rebuild.

Engine runs fine when cold ,as soon as warms up to temp runs like **** revs up then bogs down the quits. what the problem

is your check engine light on? sounds like your intake air temp sensor. sometimes you can unplug it {while its running} and listen for change in engine. it will slow down or shut off. i would suggest getting one from local salvage yard before i bought it new. if it sloves the problem then you havee= the option to use it or buy new.

On cold days the engine quits, after driving 1 mile

Distributor Ignition Pickup may be defective, these are sensitive to temp changes, they will cause a loss of spark..
