Wiring schematic for a horn relay for a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442

I would unhook the battery and take a digital multimeter with a resistance setting beeper and test my feed wires to see which one is touching ground .

It is located on the steering column under the dash. It is white switch that is about 3 inches wide. The easiest way to access it is to remove the plastic panels to get to the two nuts that hold the column to the dash.

I have the diagrams, but how to get them to you is the problem... all GM "A" body cars will have the same diagram. Google pontiac tempest/gto orchev chevell etc. It is fairly straight forward. I am not sure what you need the diagram for, but one of the most common problems with lighting issues with the cars is in the ground. Make sure one you have a good ground and that the old connector that is used to attach the ground wire to the car is in very good condition. If for any reason you are not sure replace it. Year One, and many others sell a compleate front and rear harness for these cars from various manufactures. The harnesses them selves are not dificult to install and can end a lot of frustrations in chopped up or broken wiring that has accumulated over the years. That is an older car. A schematic may be available on a Google search. Chiltons and other repair manuals often do not have electrical schematics.

u will need to drain all the fuel out change the fuel filter and then flush the lines with clean new fuel, it would also be a good idea to flush the brake fluid out.

Yes most like the relay needs replacing. This is easy access as it is near the ac compressor and not too expensive.
