I am having the problem, see no visable alignment adjustment. I am looking into the tie rods and wheel bearings. then the lower ball joints, good luck.

if your car has tie rod ends in which you can adjust toe in or toe out by adjusting sleeve on tie rod end. there is alignment available.

All cars has to be align at a long period of time if you getting quick tire wear, the mechanic told you a story, only reason a vechicle cant aligned if front end been or side vechicle been in a car wreck or if you have severe worn suspension components it would be hard to adjust the camber or caster wheel alignment.go to another garage that do front end alignment.

I replaced the air struts with reguler struts, if there is an alignment adjustment it is very slight.

SOURCE: headlite alignment

Yes the level bubble should be centered, but the surface the car sits on must be very level, a concrete pad works well. No way to know about the adj. screw until you turn it and see what happens.

SOURCE: I just purchased a 2008 Certified 2008 Lincoln

Being that you bought a certified used car the dealership should take care of the problem. If the camber is off is there something wrong with frame? They should make you 100% happy.

There is a malfunction on the mirror internal limit switches. You need FORD technicians to resolve your inquiry.

How do you adjust rear end toe

replace anything that was bent and then have the rear end alignment done at a wheel alignment specialist shop
any specialist shop when doing a front alignment should always check the rear first as it controls the accuracy of the front job

Tire noise already replaced tires

tyre noise come from wheel alignment out and the tread pattern on the tyres . Have a wheel alignment done starting on the rear end first as it affects the front alignment.. Check CV joints and wheel bearings for serviceability and adjustment.

Front end alignment

Get the four wheel alignment if you heave never had it done. Be aware that on the rear the adjuster bolts may jammed with rust. On the front, the ball joints, rod ends and strut bolts need to be on good condition.

We purchased a 2005 Hyundai Tucson recently. It pulls to the right. We took it in for an alignment and the mechanic said he couldn't do it because the rear end was out of alignment and it had to be...

I don't understand why the mechanic told you the alignment had to be done by the dealer (he either noted damage or just didn't know how to do it). Here's a photo of the adjustment bars on the 2005 Tucson. The mechanic simply needs two 22mm wrenches to make the adjustments.

08 honda pilot-cupping tire wear on rear drivers side. told camber off 1 degree. told cant be adjusted-- do i need to replace the rear arm (looks like tie rod) with an adjustable arm (Expensive) or a bolt...

what you need is an alignment. to have an alignment done, no parts need to be replaced. the car is put on a machine which measures 3 things on the wheels. then after the measurments are in, the suspension is adjusted, which makes your tire wear even. but like i said, no place needs to be replaced for an alignment. unless the part is visually damaged or making unusual noises it shouldnt need to be replaced. also, regular mechanics usually dont have the equipment to measure if your alignment is off or not. which means you have to take it to an alignment specialist, and they should give you a price of how much it should cost. usually is around 100 dollars for one pair of wheels(front or back) and should be under 200 for both front and back. hope this helps, goodluck.

I own 2009 Impala and just replaced tires at 30,000 miles. I did rotate tires but still had wear on front tires. I had a front end alignment the last time and they told me the camber was off because I must...

Well, the camber which is the vertical angle of the tires or wheels as the car is viewed directly from the front, is adjustable on these cars' struts.

So, if the alignment technician performs a front wheel or even a 4 wheel alignment (which is better), then the front angles should be adjusted so that tire wear doesn't occur on the left or right side of the tire as viewed from the front.

I would continue to rotate tires every 5,000 mi. or so, and have the alignment checked at a place like Sears or your local tire shop to ensure that your alignment is good, and not out of specifications.

Can someone tell me what Tie Rod Ends are? I've been told by my mechanic that I need to replace them. Why does the car need to be realigned when I get this service?

The tie rod is part of the steering mechanism. If you replace these they will not be exactly the same as the old ones which may have changed shape over time etc... Here is a very good site for info relating to your car and helps with all the technical stuff... http://news.carjunky.com/how_stuff_works/what-is-a-tie-rod-abc170.shtml

Wear on the inside of front tires

Toe, I believe is tires pointed in or out like your toes. Caster, think about the casters on furniture that want to point straight in the direction of travel. Here is a good reference: http://www.aa1car.com/library/wheel_alignment.htm

What you are describing could be a toe in, toe out problem or it could be weak springs or overload condition.

If the guy/girl that told you there was no toe adjustment was a front end alignment mechanic, I would be inclined to believe them. If you have not spoken to a front end mechanic, you should.

Front tires lean in at the top and is wearing inside treads down .i was told that torsion bars were adjusted all the way in.several mechanics have looked at this and find nothing misaligned

If you have run out of adjustment, perhaps you should consider replacing the bars. Essentially they are just a different kind of spring and over time they do loose tension. Obviously something is affecting your alignment or the tires would not wear!
What I fail to understand is that a shop can tell you it's not mis-aligned if the wheels have an obvious camber problem??!! Has anyone put it on an alignment machine?
