SOURCE: where is the ford explorer fuel pump shutoff

There is an emergency fuel shutoff switch located on the drivers side rear inside the panel on the drivers side wheel cover or the little pull-up compartment.

SOURCE: where is the fuel pump shutoff switch located on a 1996 chevy silverado 1500 located

Should be on the passenger side kickplate below the glovebox and to the right. You may have to remove the plastic panel to access it or look for a small hole in it and feel around for the button

The Inertia Fuel Shutoff switch would never cause a fuel pump to burn up. If the pump went out, it went out on its own. If it's blowing the fuse, you'll have to examine the wiring harness and ground and possibly replace the pump

92 ford explorer wont start when it is hot. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel regulator, fuel relays, IAC valve, ran a new wire to the fuel pump, and changed the fuel twice.
Take it to Ford and have them run their troubleshooting machine on it.Costs about 70 bucks and sometimes if they do the repair,this cost is removed from the bill. Ask Ford. don-ohio

There is a fuel pump shutoff reset button under the dash on the passenger side. If you recently bumped something with the front bumper it may have activated the "emergency fuel shutoff" and you will have to click this button to "reset" the fuel system.
