1994 sonoma stops running when it warms up

I have a 1994 GMC Sonoma 4.3 V-6 with 244000 miles on it. The vehicles stops running once it gets to operating temp. and will not start on its own untill it gets cold again. If I put fuel down the throtle body it will start back up but I must keep the RPM up aroud 1500 or so for a while or it will dye and I will need to prime it again. I replaced the fuel pump and filter at about 120,000 miles. I again replaced the fuel filter about 10,000 miles ago. Any idea?

My 94 gmc sonoma 2.2l is dosing too much gas and paying $20 a day to get back and forth from work

Is the check engine light on ?
If not, it could be a faulty thermostat that is not letting the engine warm up.

The iat (intake air temperature) is located on the air filter housing. If its reading high its probably unplugged
