This can be caused by a defective ignition starter switch

Need to check the wiring. Sounds like somebody messed with something they shouldn't have. Also check the other fuses...see what else they blew.

Oh, and don't go back to that shop...

A common solution is the hazard blinker/switch. Try replacing the hazard switch.the hazard switch must has two switches in it, so when you replace the whole unit it should work fine. You take out the whole hazard switch (after removing the plastic covers which snap right off), unplug it and replace it.

SOURCE: Installing aftermarket radio. Wheres the accessory??

Did the radio play after you took the key out?
And do the chimes come through the speakers?
If so, then you need to get a harness to go inbetween the radio and the car harness.

My car radio doesn't work and we are thinking that there is no hot wire from the engine or battery to the radio because it is not gettin any power at all. We tried switching out radios but that still...

How do you know its the hot wire?? Did you try the fuse panel first for blown fuse? Also you can use a volt meter to test for power of the radio.
