SOURCE: Is the gearbox on a 1998 daewoo lanos manual a sealed unit??


Just to confirm that the oil Fill plug to a Daewoo lano manual tansaxle is on the right hand side of the transaxle where the drive-shaft exits the gearbox housing.

You need to jack the car right up and use a torch

It takes 1.8L of oil

SOURCE: how to change rear main oil seal on a daewoo kalos

I believe the rear main oil seal is located by the flywheel and would require dropping the transmission in order to access that seal. I'm not positive on your car though...

I believe the rear main oil seal is located by the flywheel and would require dropping the transmission in order to access that seal. I'm not positive on your car though...

Where does the transmission oil and engine oil go?


engine oil has a filler cap on top of the engine,and the gearbox oil goes in the filler plug on the side of the gearbox when i refilled one last week after putting a clutch in one .
