Check the grounding surfaces on the coils. Also, check your ignition module, it may be malfunctioning.

Many coil problems are actually caused by other malfunctions.

I'd go ahead and change the plugs and wires anyway since it's always a good thing to do. I'd definitely start checking connections on the coil pack and ignition. It's most likely a problem somewhere in that range.

I hope this helps a little. Spark problems can be led from many different areas.

96 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't start

Possibly loss of compression inside your engine. Which is caused by hole in your engine, cracked block... a lot of things.
Stick your finger in one of the spark plug holes. Spark plug out. While someone is cranking the vehicle, if pressure pushes your finger back then your good on compression. If nothing. Then you need to find where your losing compression.

I installed a new ignition coil new spark plugs and wires and car does not have any spark

'year make model' in all questions please first 3 words.
You have over 40,000 categories to choose from listed by maker year model. 'Cars and Trucks' is the generic landing category.

Did you disconnect the battery?
Did you reset the vehicle security and engine immobilizer?
Did all the wires go back in the right place?

Check to see if the switch and terminals are free from rust and replace any damaged or broken spark plugs wires as necessary. Alternatively, it could be a bad ignition module. A simple way of testing the ignition module is to leave the car idling for 30 minutes and then tap the ignition module with a screwdriver.

My 1997 hyudai accent has a missfire code on cylinders 1 and 4 car has no power replaced plugs only change is the idle is much smoother. what else should i check

Main causes of misfire would be loss of spark; the air/fuel mixture is too far out of balance to ignite; or loss of compression.

Loss of spark includes anything that prevents coil voltage from jumping the electrode gap at the end of the spark plug. Causes include worn, fouled or damaged spark plugs, bad wires or even a cracked distributor cap. A weak coil or excessive rotor gas inside a distributor would affect all cylinders, not just a single cylinder.

"Lean misfire" can occur when the air/fuel mixture is too lean (not enough gasoline in the mixture) to burn. This can be caused by a dirty, clogged or inoperative fuel injector; air leaks; or low fuel pressure because of a weak pump, restricted filter or leaky pressure regulator.

Loss of compression means the cylinder loses most of its air/fuel mixture before it can be ignited. The most likely causes here are a leaky (burned) exhaust valve or a blown head gasket. If two adjacent cylinders are misfiring, it's likely the head gasket between them has failed. Also, if an engine is overheating or losing coolant, it's likely the head gasket is the culprit.

You can isolate the weak cylinder by temporarily disconnecting each of the spark plug wires, one at a time, while the engine is idling. When there's no change in the idle speed, then you have pinpointed the weak cylinder.
