I do most of my own work, so I do not need to sign up for a plan. Just need to know where the fuse or circuit breaker is for the brake lights as it is not in the owners manual or on interior panel nor on the underhood electrical box.

I have the same problem. I have no tail lights when I mash the brake. I replaced the stop light switch next to the brake peddle and it still does not work. I was told by someone at a dealership it could still be in the switch. I am going to carry the switch back and try a new one again.I have the same problem. Found my problem of no brake lights on '02 Dakota. Seems they did not screeen some of the underhood info properly on the cover for the fuses. If you are looking at the panel, open from the left fender, it is the first blue 20 amp fuse towards the front of the engine. About $3 bucks a piece. I now carry spares as you will not find it on highway very easily and I found most auto stores only stock the 30, 40, and 50 amp size. And the manual is totally useless when trying to locate the fuse. That was a direct comment from a Chrysler mechanic.

Make sure that the fuse that controls the lock that keeps you from shifting into a gear when your foot is not on the brake. It is usually the brake light fuse.
Find a fuse diagram printed on the back of your fuse box cover, or follow this link to know the placement of each fuse in your car: https://knigaproavto.ru/shemy/en/dodge/dakota/766-2002-2004-dodge-dakota-fuse-box-diagram.html
Hello;
Your brake light switch is probably the culprit here. It is located on the brake pedal where the rod attaches from the master cylinder. Check for continuity on and off as well as voltage at the plug in. Hope this helps;

well because the abs light indicates a problem with your anti-lock braking system you need to find out why it is on.... keep in mind one quick way you would disengage your cruise is with the brake pedal.
under the hood is a fuse panel (often located near the battery) ... see if there is a relay in the for your cruise... replace that.
