My 03 Yukon xl Instrement Panel won't work. I had the stepper motors replaced but I still have nothing. None of my Odometer or Driver information center work either. Any suggestions what to look for?

Hi

Sounds as though u have experience the GM usual cluster failure.Check for bad connections in the fuse box. Use a test light to verify voltage at all of the fuse holders. Also check for bad solder point on the board behind the display.Seems you need to replace the entire instrument cluster.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept this particular suggestion.

No oil pressure on my 2009 Yukon

You need to be careful here. If you are driving your Vehicle with ZERO PRESSURE, you are going to blow up your engine.

There is also one of 2 other scenero's for a GM Vehicle

FIRST: Instrument Cluster STEPPER MOTORS are KNOWN to be going BAD in GM's/. If the Stepper Motor is bad, make sure you replace it with a X27.168

SECOND. Your Sending Unit could have come unplugged or the Unit itself went bad.

I am Betting that your Stepper Motor went bad (Happens that Frequently).

I would put a Gauge on the Motor and see what the Oil Pressure Actually is, if it is Truly ZERO... do not start or Drive the vehicle and take it to a Good Mechanic or if still under warranty.. To the DEALER

Replace spedometer cable 2003 gmc yukon xl

There is no speedometer cable on the 2003 Yukon, if there is no transmission issues like shifting problem. Your instrument cluster has gone bad, to pinpoint. Your stepper motor to your speedometer gauge has failed and needs to be replaced. You can do a search on Ebay for the stepper motor for around $10.00 which is better then the $400.00 cost of another instrument cluster.
There was a TSB on the replacement of the instrument cluster for your Yukon free of charge. The only cost to you is the labor charge unless your willing to do the job your self. Just go to the Gm Dealer and give them this TSB Number: # 07187C: Special Coverage Adjustment - Instrument Panel Cluster Gauge Needle Function - (Mar 20, 2009)
Subject:
07187C -- SPECIAL COVERAGE ADJUSTMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER GAUGE NEEDLE FUNCTION

Models:
2003-2004 CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE ESV, ESCALADE EXT
2005 CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE ESV, ESCALADE EXT (U.S. ONLY)
2003-2004 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SILVERADO, SUBURBAN, TAHOE
2005 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SILVERADO, SUBURBAN, TAHOE (U.S.ONLY)
2003-2004 GMC SIERRA, YUKON, YUKON XL
2005 GMC SIERRA, YUKON, YUKON XL (U.S. ONLY)

Some customers of all 2003-2004 model year and certain U.S. 2005 model year Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, and Escalade EXT; Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, and Tahoe; and GMC Sierra, Yukon, and Yukon XL vehicles have reported that one or more of the instrument panel (IP) cluster gauges stick, flutter, or become inoperative. This may cause inaccurate readings, including the speedometer and fuel gauge. Special Coverage Adjustment This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles (110,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.
Dealers are to replace the instrument panel cluster after the condition has been verified. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

For verified failures between 70,001 miles (110,001 km) and 80,000 miles (130,000 km) on U.S. vehicles, dealers are to provide the customer with an instrument panel cluster (IPC) only. Any additional costs, including labor to replace the instrument panel cluster, will be the responsibility of the customer. Dealers are responsible for the return of the customer's IPC back to the Electronic Service Center

My gmc yukon 2003 tachometer does not work properly

This is common on the 03-06 Yukon instrument clusters and is caused by failing stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board. It is fixable though, check out this page for more on how to get it fixed - Yukon tachometer does not work

Odometer not recording properly

The Odometer is driven by an electric motor that is fed from the solid state circuit board. The stepper motor turns in response to the number of pulses received from the ECM. So there isn't a lot that can fail, the motor, it's control board, or the ECM. None of that sounds promising I know, but hopefully that will give you some more info if nothing else.

The dashboard on my 2003 Yukon Denali won`t light up, the warning lights, the gauges and indicators...nothing is working. The CD player and cigarette lighters all work.

I had this problem on my '03 Yukon. There is an IC or other component on the dash/gauge panel that went bad, but I pulled the gauge cluster and sent it to mrwhizard.com. They replaced some parts, and i paid to have the stepper motors replaced as well, since they would prob go in the very near future. I want to say it cost me about $150-$180 total, including s/h, and had it back in a week or so. It retained my original odometer reading as well, which I was very curious/cautious of.....
Good luck.

2003 GMC Yukon XL All gauges on instrument panel stopped working. They all stopped at 0, including spedometer, rpms, fuel, oil, etc. The electrical odometer is still working. Is this a fuse problem or does...

If this is an intermittent problem,
remove the IPC 10A fuse in the fuse box under the hood,
not in the fuse panel by the driver side door,
for 5 minutes.
The electronics will reset.
