Open the Raider's hood. The AIT is always going to be on the intake manifold, near the air filter box.

The AIT sensor is located inside the large black plastic box on top of the engine. There is a 2-wire plug connector that plugs into the driver side of this box that connects the sensor wires. Mods simply remove the plug and attach the new AIT diode to the plug without plugging it back into the black box. Note: Your check engine light will stay on and not much improvement (if any) to performance. I took mine back out and restored back to stock. Don't waste your money on gadgets for the AIT.

Yes I believe that the pcm controlls both usually it's a sensor issue or wiring issue. We never had many issues with them short of mice damage.

My 2007 mitsubishi raider is flashing a yellow 4 low sign

If you are driving on hard surface in 4 WD then you will be suffering drive line torque wind up . This will activate a sensor to advise you to switch to 2 WD and so save on wear in the drive train. The jerking is from the tyres trying to slip and when the load on a tyre is less it will slip to equalise the torque .WD is meant only for loose surfaces / snow / ice
