The 3M corporation makes a waterproofing spray that works very well for most materials. It takes 24 hours for each coat to dry and I recommend at least 3 coats initially. The top MUST be completely dry and vehicle MUST be parked in a garage to apply and allowed to dry between coats - a carport is too moist and the product will not stick well, and you'll need to put a heater in the garage to keep things warm and dry - a small electric heater will do if you throw towels along the door edges to seal up the drafts. I have used this product several times - the dry warm is crucial to your success !!

You have a big short in the wiring that goes to the levers on the steering columns. To identify it you must access the wiring and check every single one, starting with the ground wires, and the connectors.
If you don't know how to do it then you should definitely take the car to your local repair shop- you don't need a dealer for that.
How to manully open saab 900 convertible
If you lower the rear seat there is a **** in the carpet on the left hand side. Put your hand through and pull the red lever all the way down this will disengage the motors and alow you to lower the roof manully. Make sure you don't put the rear seat back up or it will push the leaver back up and you won't be able to move the roof hope this helps.

My batterie went dead. now the alarm goes off when
You will have to locate the alarm box. It is put in different places (mostly under dash on drivers side) depending on who does the install. Once you find it, there should be a red wire leading from it to a power source. Somewhere along this red wire there will be a fuse. Remove it. The alarm should be dead now...
1996 Saab 900 SE is stalling and shuts off when I
just had to replace the fuel pump on my 1999 Saab 9-3 with 130 K after being frustrated with stalling over the past 6 months. Earlier attempts to fix the problem were to replace the crank sensor and purge valve but that was just a waste of $600.
It's always something with this car unfortunatley!
I have a 1996 saab 900S 2.3L with a check engine
I also have a saab 900 s with the 2.3 L. I started throwing the same code. I found out from the Hanes manual that the CMP sensor is integrated into the distributor on this model. Which explains why the distributor costs so much. You might want to check your distributor out and makes sure their is no oil in the cap and that the black electric plug is fit on correctly. If it's okay just watch for rough idle (that's what mine started doing), unfortunately it looks like if your cam position sensor needs to be replaced you have to replace the entire distributor.
