Good fuses no turn signal

I believe your car has 2 flashers, one hazard, one turn signal. Check the turn signal flasher to see if it's bad. Located driver side, upper steering column under dash. To make sure u check the correct flasher, try using the hazards after removal of flasher, so u know u have removed the correct one. Let me know how u do.

Loss of engine spark ,then comes back

Check your fuel pressure regulator on your fuel rail. The regulator will go bad causing this vehicle to act this way.

How to replace serpentine belt for 96 bonnville

This is a fairly straightforward mechanical procedure. If you will allow me to provide a little perspective first, just so we start on the same page.

Since you ask only for the procedure for replacement, I do not want to jump over the diagnostic element of this process. If you are holding a broken belt in your hand you can skip directly past this paragraph. The serpentine belt, referred to as the engine drivebelt does what fan belts did in the "old days". This belt is by the crankshaft and in turn spins the alternator, the water pump and the pump for the power steering and the air conditioner compressor. This belt is a wear item and should be examined once per year. The belt is smooth on one side and has ribs running long ways on the other side. Using a flashlight check for shiny areas, cracks of any kind or fluid on the belt. Any of these, change the belt.

Now we need to get our navigational landmarks in sync. The engine in most front-wheel drive vehicles is mounted transversely (sideways). So front and back of the engine become left (front of engine) and right (rear of engine). The drivebelt is on the front of the engine, so to your left as you raise the hood and peer inside.

There should be a drivebelt routing decal on the upper radiator panel (between the engine and the front of the car). I recommend at this point that you also take a few pictures of the drivebelt with your cell phone or digital camera. Detail its path around all accessory components. I know that this is belt and suspenders but it will help greatly with replacement. Now look for the belt tensioner under the power steering pump. The power steering pump is at 12:00 o'clock on the front of the engine. Read the sticker on the square power steering reservoir at the top front of the engine to ensure you are in the right place. The tensioner is the round pulley that looks like it it isn't attached to anything and therefore has no purpose. Put the appropriate wrench on the nut on the front of the tensioner and turn counterclockwise (push toward the back of the car). A long handled ratchet works best here since you will need to get some leverage to turn the tensioner. This will loosen tension on the belt. While holding the belt tensioner remove the belt from all of the pulleys and pull it out. When you release the belt tensioner, it will swing down out of the way. Now again rotate the belt tensioner and route the new belt onto the engine. This should do it. If you are going to be doing this intermediate level of repair and maintenance I recommend you get a hard-copy repair manual for your vehicle or subscribe to one of the many excellent repair on-line service. Good luck!

Blower motor

Without assuming anything, do you mean the HVAC blower (the heater and ac fan) or is your Bonneville supercharged (blower is slang for a supercharger)?

Going with the simplest first, the heater and ac fan is located on the firewall (the back wall of the engine compartment).

Please, before doing any electrical work on any car, disconnect the battery! You will need the security radio reactivation code to ever use the radio again. Ask your dealer to help if you do not have this code in you owner's manual. Do not take this lightly! This code is responsible for more grief for do it yourself mechanics than any actual repair works.

Raise the hood and look to the upper left rear wall. There is a plastic panel held by two small bolts. remove this panel and set the small bolts in a safe place (sorry if I am being a bit anal, but when you get into the dismantling, the re-mantling sometimes gets lost in the process). The blower is about 10 inches round and cylindrical in shape. There should be 5 small bolts holding it to the firewall, as well as a cooling tube and a wire harness with a snap release clip. Remove the electrical connector first, then the cooling tube and then remove the bolts. It is easier to remove and replace connectors while the unit is attached to the car. At this point you may have to remove the valve cover of the engine (on the transverse or sideways mounting of the engine it is the rear valve, or rocker cover). Don't panic here! The rocker cover is just that, a cover. I serves no other purpose on the engine. Make sure you replace the valve cover gasket on reassembly. While you are at it, change both valve cover gaskets, especially if you notice small weeping oil leaks from either or both of them. But we digress!

When you have the blower unit in your hand you will see why it is refered to as a blower assembly and not a fan. There is a fan attached to the motor with a nut in the center. Be careful trying to use a screwdriver as a wedge in the fan blades to hold the fan still against the force you are exerting on the nut. The fan is reused, the motor is what you are changing. Don't break the fan blades trying to remove it! Slow and steady here.

Now assemble the fan to the motor, and use the above procedure in reverse to reassemble everything. If you are going to be doing this intermediate level repair on your Bonneville, you should get a hard-copy repair manual or subscribe to one of the excellent on-line diy services. Happy knucklebustin'. dp

Electrical, I'm guessing. power window with starting problem

that happened in my car. It is known issue with these vehicles. One of two things are wrong. 1. replace the fuel pump. It is on same currant with power seat, windows, etc. Replacing fuel pump fixed my problem. 2. there is a module that sits in the lower A pillar down by the drivers feet. This module (nothing more than a piece of metal incased in plastic) is not covered properly by manufacturer. Since it sits so low, it gets damp and corodes. Another friend had same problem on his car so we pulled that module, cleaned it, resealed properly so moisture does not get and and put back. Car error free since! I hope this helps.

2004. Why doesn't it turn over?

If you have the 3.8L First check the basics . Do you have spark ? Fuel Injector pulse ? My guess is that the ground connections under the coil assembly .are not tight . Very common problem that occurs during a water pump repair . Good luck

I have a 92 bonneville

With a monitor scan for the knock sensor defect or no signal from PCM should have around 5volts. Check Ignition key on engine off. With a piece of metal hit near the knock sensor and the voltage have to change normally. Also, the EGR valve not working or clog. For the hot engine Radiator cap defect or Electrical fan not working when hot. The radiator flush can be done if restrictions. hope it helps.
