how to do i pull the pulley off and put a new one on.
The power steering and A/C belt is tensioned by a tensioner pulley. Mine went bad and was "screaming" I thought it was the power steering pump and I replaced it only to find that it wasn't the problem. I couldn't find any bolts and deemed it too much of a problem for me to replace at home. The shop had to drop the engine and transaxle assembly from the engine bay in order to get enough room to replace the pulley. The problem with many FWD cars is having enough room to work so if you have to replace it, the engine has to move because you only have about two inches of room otherwise.

I have a 02 Dodge neon es and i was told i have a solenoid pack leak. I need to know where it is and how to fix it.Thank you
th e trans solenoid pack is located on the trans just under the air box, it has a cover on it that says DO NOT REMOVE, there are three bolts on the top and the others you will have to drop the pan and valve body to access. there are seals under/behind it that leak.

How do I remove the headliner for repair? None of my manuals gives a detailed procedure. I was able to remove the map light overhead console, but can't figure out how to remove the two visor clips to proceed with removal.
the visor clip is made in 2 parts. the outer cover needs to slide straight down which releases tension of the inner clip which is wedged in by the outer cover.

my 2002 neon won't start because the key hadn't been used for quite some time. started it 5 times and now its locked out and won't start, any way to reset and start over other than having it towed to dealer to have it reset?
IF YOU LEAVE THE IGNITION KEY ON FOR ABOUT AN HOUR,IT SHOULD COME OUT SECURITY LOCKOUT..YOU ALSO CAN TRY REMOVING FUSE IN UNDERHOOD FUSE BLOCK LABELLED "IOD" FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS AND PUTTING BACK IN..BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH IMMOBILIZER OR POWERTRAIN CONTROLLER..YOU MAY NEED TO PUT VEHICLE ON A BATTERY CHARGER IF INTEND TO TRY LEAVING KEY ON..LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS

Where is fill hole on the transmission?
It will be on the side of the transmission just above the halfway point. The plug is usually black or green. You will need to dip your finger in to feel the level the fluid is at. It should be just below the lip of the plug.

I got a diagnosis of my 2002 dodge neon's problem that caused my check engine light to come on and the code that I received was P0705. The definition reads: Transmission range sensor circuit malfunction. then probable cause-open or short circuit condition-poor electrical connection- misadjusted TR sensor- failed TR sensor. That is what my printout reads. My 2002 dodge neon currently has 86,000 miles. How do I replace the transmission range sensor myself? Where is it located? What does it look like? What are the steps? How do I get the part? What price?
Range sensor is located
inside the transmission. I will attach the information. Remove valve body
assembly from transaxle. (see below)
Remove Transmission Range Sensor
retaining screw (3) and remove sensor (1) from valve body.
Remove TRS (1) from manual shaft.
VALVE BODY
Disconnect battery negative cable.
Remove air cleaner/throttle body assembly.
Disconnect gearshift cable from manual
valve lever.
Remove manual valve lever from manual
shaft.
Disconnect transmission range sensor
(TRS).
Raise vehicle on hoist.
Remove oil pan bolts
Remove oil pan
Remove oil filter .
Remove the valve body-to-transaxle case
bolts
NOTE: To ease removal of the valve
body, turn the manual valve lever fully clockwise to low or first gear.
Remove park rod rollers from guide
bracket and remove valve body from transaxle.
CAUTION: The valve body manual shaft
pilot may distort and bind the manual valve if the valve body is mishandled or
dropped.
ONce you get the valve body out the range sensor is just held in
by one t-25 torx screw. When you put the valve body back up seat it against the
trans before tightening the bolts, and then torque them to 105 in lbs.
Part number 1 is Transaxle Range Sensor.
Part number 2 is Manual valve controlling pin And part number 3 is retaining
screw.
You can get new sensor from www.autozone.com

My car jerks or kicks back roughly when I shift to Reverse. What does this mean and what can I do about it? When I shift to the other gears it's a smooth transition.
Hi.
There is a number of possible reasons for the car jerking when you put in reverse. Things are also different depending if you have auto or manual tranny.
As first thing check the tranny fluid and eventually replace the fluid. This will rule out a common reason for troubles of this kind (or eventually fix the problem).
If that does not help, go to a local garage and have the motor mounts checked. This is the most typical reason for this problem, at least on manual transmission.
On Auto trans, after checking mounts, also have the torque converter clutch tested. A bad shift solenoid in the solenoid pack (in the valve body) may cause the reverse shifting roughly.
Also ensure that the problem is not linked to high idle.

I am a fair mechanic if i know where to start i can usually figure it out. I am at a loss on this one. One day the the transmission is shifting perfectly. The next time i get in it , it will not shift out of first gear. Somebody please give me an easy solution. Thank you with huge graditude.
You need a transmission shift solenoid. Copy and paste this link
