Zebco 202 has a foot projecting from the frame.....this is mated to the reel seat area on your rod and the knurled rings on the rod are tightened down over it to secure it for fishing.

from what i can tell, yes and no. if you're using larger line then you can use a non-offset eye. but for smaller line the eye of offset as per the manual instructions which are still pretty vague

Try it and see.

It's hard to see ANY line while it's in the water.

Your reel has pickup pins on the spool that will guide the line onto the spool when you reel in.
Try holding gentle tension on the slack line just above your reel and start reeling in. If this does not work then remove the top cover of the reel and look to see if the line is tangled up on the inside around the center shaft underneath the pickup pin cover.
if this is the case, simply unscrew the pickup pin cover from the center shaft. It will be on the tight. Remove the tangled line and reassemble.

That would depend on the rod, but usually either the front part of the hand grip can be unscrewed, or there is a screw under the rod that will loosen it.

I am assuming you know at least something about fishing with a baitcast reel. If you do not, make sure you release the thumb button when you cast.
Chances are your line is either tangled or dirty on the inside. Also, the longer the line sits on the spool, the "curlier" it becomes, making it more difficult to get a good cast. I would suggest replacing your line.

If that doesn't help, then its possible that the release pin isn't releasing when the button is released. If this is the case, it is probably time for a new reel. Zebco 33's are inexpensive, and not really worth the trouble to try and repair- better to just invest in a new one.

Turn the screw a 1/4 turn, then twist the front line cover left to remove it. It may be stuck but this is how you do it. It will move about an 1/8", then pull it straight off.

Go to a local reel repair shop and ask them if they have the part. Make sure to take the bad one with you My answers are short and sweet. Common sense mostly. Time to change it out. Think about using a swivel when you put the new line on. that helps the twisting, but also affects how the bait works. You also should use a more expensive line.
