Got top website for parts diagram
Probably dirty. Take apart and clean, and lube. Be careful to not bend or break or lose any parts. U se your you phone or camera to record taking it apart. Try to do it in one setting, everything looks different when you return a day or two later to try to put it back together. My answers are short and sweet. Common sense mostly. Carefully lube and let set overnight then try to open it .If that doesn't work take it to a reel repair shop. some of them will do it for free

Hold the line with your index finger and against the rod itself. Then cast and release your hold

Hi,
Firmly grasp the "cone" the end where the line comes through and twist counter clockwise. It will unscrew from the rest of the reel. The cone will slide down the line out of the way .
Good Luck,
Wayne

remove cover and spool, if rubber pressure disk is damaged and spool has warped it is not worth repairing, if not re assemble and replace line

you have to release the button after you start your cast, distance, height and length of cast is determined by where you release the button inside the forward arc of your cast, just like throwing a baseball.

hi,
If the bottom portion of the metal disk inside is "curvy"the line is wound by the curves. Its kinda hard to explain.Try twisting the metal "disk and pressing down lightly while turning the handle, this should put the take up parts in the right alignment. That being said,I would go spend 15 bucks at wal-mart or similar store and buy a real reel.I am a semi-professional fisherman and I dont use real expensive gear, but zebco is probably the worst equipment available.I use Okuma or Diawa...they have some low end models that are very inexpensive and work just fine.

thank you,(vote for me)

Unscrew the front cone. While holding the handle unscrew the spinner head and remove from the reel. The quick change spool will have an arrow to show the direction that you twist it off. That's about all their is to it.
