Remove retaning bolts on the housing make sure all the old rope is ggonerewind the housing useing a screwdriver to hold it in place thread the new rope through the housing release screwdriver and reattach to motor.

sounds like stuck float or dirty carb pull bottom off carb and clean . be sure to check float moves up and down freely

more likely to be the coil overheating.

I changed my guard by cutting the rod that is crimped and I got a heavy piece of wire that was the same thickness of the rod and I shoved it through and bent or crimped the ends with vice grips . It works good now. I cut the old rod with bolt cutters but a hack saw will work.

TRY PUTTING SOME SEA FOAM IN YOUR GAS AND LET IT RUN AWHILE MAY HELP.

Take the belt to parts house and get a smaller belt. The old belt was stretch out of length. If you match the old to the new you just get a new version of the old stretched out belt

Use a small screwdriver and pry up on either side until it comes out just take your time dont break the spring.

if the spring is still in the houseing just wind it backwords put the cord through the hole and thread it through hole on the inside tie in a knot then release tension put it back on the motor.
