Is it at domain computer or standalone?
Check if your firewall is blocking your yahoo messenger.

If it is a problem with your camera on your machine consider removing the software for it and installing it again, for example if you have a logitech camera plugged in, go to Control Panel / Add Remove Software and remove the Logitech software from there. Then go to logitechs website and download the latest software for your web camera model, then install the new software.
If that doesn't work, try removing Yahoo messenger and downloading the latest version of yahoo from their site and installing that.

why is it my yahoo messenger that id download now is failed to initialize properly? can you please help me the right thing to do to make my download completed?

You may have scripting disabled in your Internet Explorer.

To enable scripting:

Click the "Tools" menu on your Internet Explorer toolbar and select "Internet Options."

Click the "Security" tab.

Click the Internet (globe) icon and click the "Custom Level" button.

Scroll down to "Scripting."

Enable the following:

* Active scripting
* Allow paste operations via script
* Scripting of Java applets are all enabled

Click the OK button at the bottom of the window.

Note: Restart Yahoo! Messenger and you should start seeing text in your IM windows again.


If that does not solve the problem then I would Uninstall messenger and install it again.

Follow these steps. It will allow you to use multi yahoo messenger and sign in differeny ids at one time.

1. On your windows, click Start and select Run
2. On the box type regedit and click OK
3. On the left part of the page, double click HKEY_CURRENT_USER
4. Under it, double click Software
5. Under Software, double click yahoo
6. Under yahoo, double click pager
7. Under pager, double click Test
8. On the right part of the page, right click with your mouse, select new then select DWORD value.
9. A "New Value #"1 will appear, right click on this and click rename. Replace it with "Plural" and hit enter key
10. Double click Plural, and replace value data with 1 and hit OK.

Close the registry editor and restart your computer.

The easiest way to fix this problem is to uninstall the Yahoo Toolbar using add/remove programs. Once that is done, your internet should be working again. If you want the yahoo toolbar, you can go back to yahoo.com and download/install it again, and it should work fine.
Today, 12/15/10, I have had to do this on 5 different computers, so my guess is something in the toolbar was updated, and is causing the problems. Reinstalling the toolbar after removing it did not cause further issues.
