We have the Whirlpool dishwasher
Try turning off power to the dishwasher completely by either unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker for a few minutes, then power it back up. Sometimes this will reset it.

Salt level doesn't work
I assume you are talking about a water softener. Mine runs off a timer - it is set to do its thing about 3 in the morning. If it is yours, check to make sure your timer is working (old motor and gear style or electronic, either could go bad) but if it is a rental unit, call them.

W10073650 Whirlpool Dishwasher--Start button just flashes when I push it and won't start machine. Any advice?
It could be corrosion at P1 connector.
There is a trouble shooting document behind the kick panel at the bottom of the machine. Follow the steps to determine which component is at fault.
My whirlpool dishwasher gold GU2475XTVQ0 had rapid blinking lights that started with the "4 Hour Delay" LED and changed to others when other buttons were pressed. The machine would not run. I followed the instructions located behind the kick panel and verified the keypad was the issue and not the control circuit by elimination.
The big surprise for me was that when I used a straight pin to resistance check all of the buttons, they checked out OK. I reconnected the 14 pin connector (P1) to the control and found that the buttons/LEDs were behaving correctly! I believe that pushing the straight pin into the 14 pin connector removed any corrosion in the 10 year old device and permitted the keypad to communicate with the control again.
I reassembled the dishwasher door and it ran with no problems. I was ready to replace the keypad for $150, but didn't have to!

Our Whirlpool microwave will not
Tis probably a simple fix for a knowledgeable person.
But don't mess with it unless you know how to discharge the stored voltage. It can give you a REALLY bad zap! Could even kill. Call a reputable service co and see what they would suggest. Bring in or come out repair.

Dishwasher does not spray water
The pump has had it, & it is not presurising the water enough, also before u replace the pump, remove the inlet pipe, & check that the little gauze filter in the inlet valve is clean, when they block they dont let the water in fast enough to be pumped high enough.

Wife found 13yr old whirlpool quiet partner 980
there is a relay on the pcb that controls the power to the solenoid valve, there are a few of them. but it could also be old school washer witch can be dial control this is when you turn a nob to a setting and it slowly goes back to off. if its this its controlled by this and no relays or pcb boards are on the washer classed as analoge.
