Hi, the dishes on the top rack of our Whirlpool Quietmaster III do not dry completely, but the bottom dishes are fine. We have to re-wash the upper rack dishes; they have spots on them. Ron.

Make sure the top spray arm is turning! check for blockage in the jets at the very end of the spray arm, or that the spray arm has not split. Put the arm in a known position, and check it has moved after a few moments. Remove blockages or replace the arm if necessary.
These machines dry only by the last rinse being in hot water, then the plates drip dry. Are you using rinse aid? this helps the water to disperse without spots.

All of the things that you are describing are controlled by transistor circuits, and relays, and solenoids. The next time it fails would be the time to call a service repairman with the test equipment and training to locate the failing circuit card or component and replace it. The ticking sound could be a bad relay chattering or a defective solenoid opening and closing. There is no way to diagnose the problem remotely. Even if there were it would require special training to locate and replace the part. Hope that is helpful.

Thanks for using FixYa. Error code 4h means 4 hour delay start which means that the dishwasher is in delay start mode and has been set to 4 hours. You can either wait for 4 hrs or to start it immediately press the cancel button to cancel the delay start option. After this program the cycle and options and press Start again as the dishwasher will not start the wash until it reaches the delayed hour i.e. till 4hrs. If after 4 hrs still the light blinks and it wont start then you'll have to replace the control panel. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

frist turn power off to diskwasher then back on see if the button start working if none the button will not work you made need replace the touch pad,some model come with the control panel all in one some are separately.

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II and the normal and hi temp wash lights are blinking. I've tried the reset code by pressing the heated dry and normal buttons but this hasn't made the blinking stop.

There is a trouble shooting document behind the kick panel at the bottom of the machine. Follow the steps to determine which component is at fault. It could be a corrosion problem:
My whirlpool dishwasher gold GU2475XTVQ0 had rapid blinking lights that started with the "4 Hour Delay" LED and changed to others when other buttons were pressed. The machine would not run. I followed the instructions located behind the kick panel and verified the keypad was the issue and not the control circuit by elimination.
The big surprise for me was that when I used a straight pin to resistance check all of the buttons, they checked out OK. I reconnected the 14 pin connector (P1) to the control and found that the buttons/LEDs were behaving correctly! I believe that pushing the straight pin into the 14 pin connector removed any corrosion in the 10 year old device and permitted the keypad to communicate with the control again.
I reassembled the dishwasher door and it ran with no problems. I was ready to replace the keypad for $150, but didn't have to!

If you are handy, remove inlet pipe, sometimes small debris of rock, or plastic can get stuck and clog up, , could also be failed valve, or failed tap, just star and check from the outlet to see if everything is working normal, otherwise get professional to check it over
