Need an AV lead for
I'm only finding information on E-Bay and Google that indicates there is a 2 channel audio output but nothing listed for video output. What kind of connectors does the DVD player have on it? Are they mini jacks or RCA?

DVDRHD400F tuner has no sound.
Yep -same problem, but I bought mine for £18 at an auction, thought I'd done so well, but no warantee!!
-Doh. Sound perfect from DVD, so not a scart issue. Tried factory reset / retune, no joy. Freeview silent. Warfdale, you used to be the best in the world; what's gone wrong? :(

This is a user-supported repair advice site, not any companies order site, but if you send me a cheque I will do what I can with it

Wharfedale CR1CD CD Clock
Recently
Had the same problem and returned it for a replacement. The new one doesn't go off at full volume, but instead switching bedside lights on/off cause it to turn on/off. Guess it's very susceptible to electrical interference. Going back again.

DVDRHD400. No volume on the TV channels
hello ,i fixed this problem on a dvdrhd400 i picked up off ebay with same fault. played dvds perfect but no audio coming in from freeview or scart (this is not a firmware update problem). the problem seems to be the capcitors on the tuner board (long retangle board at back which scart connects to) theres a 100uf 10v-16v capcitor (sorry cant remember if voltage was 10v or 16v as i fixed this a month ago and system as been working perfect and dont want to take it all apart again) its in the middle of the board off to one side with afew other 1uf caps around it. replaced it with a 100uf 25v cap (higher voltage is fine as long as same value) Capcitance meter was reading cap as bad. bingo worked perfect ever since.

How do i access the Hard Drive out of a Wharfedale DVDR24HD160F 160GB HDD DVD Recorder
hmm...similar problem here. i've taken the hdd out and plugged it in to the ide port inside my pc. The problem is it's the wrong file system. Your pc will not see it. It is however just a normal hdd so you can re-partition it and give it a new file systm ie ntfs but you lose all the data :(. that's as far as i've got, hope it helps someone.

We have a wharfedale dvdr24hdmi
The wharfedale dvdr24 is an upscaling dvd player and not a hd dvd player which is why it wont recognise the disc you are trying to play.
HDMI just means that it connects to your tv via an hdmi cable, so unfortunatley you'll need to buy a hd dvd player to play your disc.

Wharfedale dvdrhd400 problems
Change the Scart setting (in the setup menu) from the default setting (RGB) to the other available setting (CVSC?).
I have a problem with my box restting the clock on a random basis, making it impossible to set a timer to record anything - let us know if you get the same problem via this site!
