Try checking it in Program files.

Also Click start programs and see if you can find the folder named Webroot.

Once done, you can right the icon, and select send to desktop which will create a Shortcut icon for Webroot.

Hope this helps

More than likely the product has expired. I would recommend switching to a good free application such as Malwarebytes (http://malwarebytes.org/) or Spybot Search and Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html) both of which do comparable jobs to Spy Sweeper for free.
Ensure that you do the updates prior to running scans to get the latest protection.
If you have recently purchased Spy Sweeper I would highly recommend calling them for technical support or a refund (1-866-612-4268).
Hope this helps!

my webroot won't scan or upgrade

Webroot Spy... | Answered on Mar 10, 2011

hello, if spy sweeper is not being completed, may be because there is another security software in the computer, and if the purpose of installing of this program for to remove a infection that it inside the computer, maybe that is why it is having a problem. and also if this is a download version make sure that you save the file 1st before installing it. Thank you for using Fixya

Use Comodo Anti-Virus, its free and it is better than spysweeper

Webroot Spy... | Answered on Mar 05, 2011

boot the maschine in secure modus, backup your stuff !!!
1st solution is to try to re-install spysweeper, but as i have done a few times as so... its better to uninstall it fully, reboot, remove settings from sweeper in registry;
reboot again;
if everything goes well, install sweeper again;
if not after having confirmed, that your data is securely back-uped to external media, re-install system.

other case bevore, try to reset system to good working situation, but as you wrote, you removed dll... hmmm... think ur system s badly damaged. sweeper sometimes does fragment parts of system so badly, that theres no other option.
u could try to check system with other sweeping tool... happens, that bug gets looping system...
good luck

I'm not thta familiar with Webroot but, is this the first antivirus you've had? Does it have a settings tab? Does it have options; quick scan, full scan? Quick scans are usually take somewhere from 5 to 20 minutes. Full scans(if system hasn't been scanned before or has issues) could take hours. If you can change your settings, you may want to schedule your scans for the wee hours of the morning so you don't have to wait for scan to complete.

Has your disc been scratched at all? Or if it's just a file, try deleting it and re-downloading the file it could have become corrupted.

Is your subscription expired?
I would recommend uninstalling webroot and installing Avast
They have a brand new virus protection scheme called sandboxing and its quite advanced. Plus its free! Better than norton or webroot by farrrrrrrrrrr.
Have a nice day

Multiple programs working to do the same task will actually fight for the computer's resources, eating up any free space in the RAM as the computer struggles to keep up with the conflicting antispyware and antivirus tools.

There is a distinction between the program and the subscription for updates. Updates usually get purchased for a year at a time. YOU want the updates, so renew.

Most software comes with a one-use license.

This means that you will need to purchase an additional license for every pc which you wish to have it installed to.

If you have done away with your old pc, and only want it on your new pc, you can call webroot, and have them de-activate the previous installation, and that way it will be cleared for installation onto your new pc.

If it is a multiple license disc, (it would say so on the packaging) then you should be good to run the installation from disc on up to three different computers.

If there are problems with registration, you are pretty much locked into calling webroot for assistance.

If you are referring to Webroot Desktop Firewall, that software is no longer supported as it was discontinued years ago. The "No Longer Supported" factor means that it is not updated to keep up with new Windows systems and patches, so will slowly stop working and become worse and worse as it gets older. If this is the software you are referring to, unfortunately the best solution is to uninstall it and use a current, updated firewall instead.

If you want to stay with Webroot, their firewall is included in their Internet Security packages. Otherwise there are numerous free and paid firewalls, all with different features, problems, good sides and bad sides. Examples include Comodo, Zone Alarm, and Sunbelt.

The Webroot Desktop Firewall was discontinued several years ago and has not been updated to work on current operating systems or OS patches. Unfortunately, the best way to resolve this issue is to uninstall the Webroot Destop Firewall and replace it with any currently-supported firewall. If you want to stay with Webroot, their Internet Security packages include firewalls. Other firewalls are available at various prices or free, and as always, no firewall is perfect in operation or convenience, so find the one that you trust best and works best for your needs.

Go to start menu then run type in MSCONFIG then go to startup items. Disable the on screen application for the firewall but not the firewall itself it should stop posting the application on the screen shot. Do not delete just disable startup item. I would also disable anything else that is annoying you a well. It will not hurt your computer. Thanks for using FixYa! John
