Weber Grilling - Answered Questions & Fixed Issues
What is the best way to clean the grill?
use a good wire brush on the burners each time you use it before and after cooking. every season take the grill grates and flare reducers out and clean them well with a wire brush and or steel wool and clean out any residue in side the grill. make sure the grease catcher gets cleaned often as needed. blow out the gas manifolds with air in the spring to remove spider webs or insect webs etc. this should keep your grill working well for 10-15 years. replace the grates or flare plates when needed.also lightly clean the burners when you have the grill taken apart with steel woll then blow them out as well to keep all the openings clear. happy grilling.
One burner on my Weber gs4 will not lite. When you turn the knob nothing is turning.
dicking around with parts from the manufacturer is expensive, time consuming and will prove frustrating since even if you get it to work it will fail again in no time. Instead, consider getting yourself one of those extended butane lighters at the grocery store. The ones with flexible lighter shafts work best in most applications.

Weber does not sell conversion kits due to liability reasons. Every part of the grill needs to be changed to convert. Cheaper to buy new grill, I have tried to piece together a parts list to convert, it is cheaper to buy new grill by the time you purchase all parts needed.
Very low flame, like very little gas is getting thru, tank is ful
Okay, what you are dealing with is called "vapor-lock". The way these grills need to be turned off is, close the tank valve first and after the burners go out, then turn the burners off. The way you are doing it is trapping the gas and you are getting a weak flame. Fortunately this is an easy fix. First, light the grill by turning the gas valve open, then turn the burners on to light the grill...as soon as that is done, close the gas valve on the tank then turn the burners off. Repeat this procedure until you get a good flame. If this procedure hasn't fixed the problem after the third time, you need a new regulator and regulators are easy to find in any home improvement store like Lowe's or Home Depot.

Why is my Weber grill burning so hot with orange flame
Orange flame is not enough air in the gas air mix. You have a spider nest living in the venturi tube and nozzle. Weber sell a special brush. The venturi tube is between the gas control knob and jet and the burner.

I have a Weber gas grill, and I just replaced the
Don't worry, you'll be grilling in no time, if you follow these instructions:
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF.
2. Disconnect the grill's hose from the propane tank and wait 5 minutes.
3. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank's gas valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow Motion, slow).
Once the valve is fully open light one burner and turn it to HIGH. Has the flame height returned to normal? If so, light the remaining burner and turn it to HIGH. Do both flame heights look normal?
If so, you solve the problem! Remember to always turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.
Hope this helped you. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!
