Fluke 87V Continuity test; Sometimes a solid beep. Other time a continual rapid on/off beep?

Open the manual. Press CTRL+F and type 'beeps' and press enter. There are 19 mentions. https://www.transcat.com/media/pdf/80vUserManual.pdf The continuity test features a beeper that sounds as long as a circuit is complete. The beeper allows you to perform quick continuity tests without having to watch the display. To test for continuity, set up the Meter as shown in Figure 4. Press E to turn the continuity beeper on or off. The continuity function detects intermittent opens and shorts lasting as little as 1ms. A brief short causes the Meter to emit a short beep. Was there a Diode in the circuit? A short beep sounds if the diode is good (< 0.85 V). A continuous beep sounds if the reading is ? 0.100 V. This reading would indicate a short circuit. The display shows "OL" if the diode is open. and also Enter MIN MAX recording mode. The Meter is locked in the range displayed before you entered MIN MAX mode. (Select the desired measurement function and range before entering MIN MAX.) The Meter beeps each time a new minimum or maximum value is recorded

Need help recalibration get a SLR202GR laser level

Hi, all electronic rotary laser levelers have an electronic calibration that you can do yourself, you just need to know the correct algorithm to control the buttons. Look here (https://laslev.com/reviews-laser-levels/firecore/automatic-rotary-laser-level-firecore-fre207r-servo/) for an example of this unit, it describes the entire calibration algorithm for the X-axis and the Y-axis. The buttons may be slightly different, but the principle is the same, I'm sure you can do it, there's nothing complicated there.

On my wireless weather station the last step has e d f I s not in that order just one letter each time I push what is it for

Hi Kyle, It is impossible to give you complete information without the Manufacturer name and the model number. My guess is that you are pushing the mode button and skipping through 5 sets of settings. when you see the "e" push the up and down and you will probably see this sequence "e,c,m,p" if so, (or similar), that will set your time zone to Eastern, Central, Mountain, or Pacific. The "d" is likely for the Daylight savings time, use the arrow when you see the "c" and if you see "d,s" those are for Daylight savings, and Standard. I really am "shooting in the dark" without a make and model #. Good luck. Steve

How do I lubricate the wind reader on my Acurite Professional Weather Center. It does not turn. It feels like the bearing is tied up?

Spray the bearing with Jigaloo which is a dry silicone lubricant. If you can strip it down a bit, so much the better. https://www.jigaloo.ca/ ..

How do you set barometer

Hi George: I'm used to barometric pressure as related to altimeter setting in aircraft, but the principal is the same. For an altimeter, If you know the elevation (above sea level) that you are at, and you set the altimeter to that altitude, the barometric pressure showing on the altimeter will be the current barometric pressure. If you have a barometer without an altimeter, someone would have to provide you with the current setting. That would probably be your nearest weather station, airport, or your computer. Here's a link to one. http://weather.gc.ca/marine/weatherConditions-currentConditions_e.html?mapID=02&siteID=14300&stationID=46131 Pressure and tendency refers to barometric pressure. If you reply as a COMMENT to this post I will try to assist if possible. Cheers.

Is there any way to change the battery on a Trumeter 5505E measuring whee

5505E MEASUREMETER BATTERY CHANGE (3V CR-2032) REMOVE WHEEL AND SHAFT BY GENTLY PULLING AXLE OUT OF UNIT. DRILL OUT 7 PLASTIC HEADS WITH 3/16 DRILL BIT. (ABOUT 1\8 DEPTH) SPLIT TWO SIDES OF CASE AND REMOVE HANDLE. SLIDE OUT CLEAR PLASTIC CONTROL UNIT. PUSH DOWN ON BUTTONS AS YOU REMOVE SO AS NOT TO DAMAGE THEM. PUSH DOWN SLIGHTLY TOWARD THE CASE ON LOCK TABS WHILE GENTLY PULLING CASE APART. START ON ONE END AND WORK YOUR WAY TO OTHER END. KEEP GASKET INTACT. OPEN CASE. THERE IS A "Y" SHAPED RETAINER HOLDING IN THE BATTERY. WITH NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS, CAREFULLY SLIGHTLY SQUEEZE THE BOTTOM OF THE "Y" AND PULL UP GENTLY. YOU CAN NOW REMOVE THE BATTERY AND INSTALL THE NEW ONE. PUSH RETAINER DOWN TO LOCK BACK IN. MAKE SURE GASKET IS IN PLACE AND PUT CASE BACK TOGETHER, MAKING SURE WHEEL ADAPTER IS IN PROPER PLACE. TURN ON AND TEST CONTROL UNIT AND TURN WHEEL ADAPTER TO MAKE SURE UNIT IS WORKING PROPERLY. SLIDE CONTROL UNIT BACK IN BEING CAREFUL OF THE BUTTONS. RE-ASSEMBLE HANDLE AND PUT THE TWO SIDES OF THE CASE TOGETHER. I USED THREE PIECES OF ELECTRICAL TAPE TO HOLD CASE TOGETHER. ONE ON THE TOP BETWEEN THE TWO HOLES, ONE ON THE BOTTOM JUST ABOVE THE DISPLAY, AND ONE IN THE MIDDLE. PUT THE PLASTIC PIECE IN THE HOLE AND LINE UP. MAKE SURE BOTH O-RINGS ARE ON THE AXLE SHAFT. GENTLY INSERT AXLE ALL THE WAY IN WHILE ROTATING IF NECESSARY. I WAS SO HAPPY I HAD IT ALL BACK TOGETHER AND WORKING, I HADN'T TAKEN ANY PICTURES AND I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE TAKING IT ALL APART AGAIN. MIGHT ADD PICTURES LATER IF NEEDED. I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR YEARS ON HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERY, AND I FINALLY MADE UP MY MIND THAT I WAS GOING TO DO IT. JMS 10-20-2020
