Slow cursor response

Clean up the clutter and programs less used over time. When too many APPS or PROGRAMS take up memory, the system will slow down, thus LAG. In some cases the Video slows, in others mouse trails, etc. Some folks seem to collect data, apps, and programs. The problem is; most forget to remove unused programs, many of witch take up space and cause problems.

I have the Bamboo Pen

The tablet if probably fine; it sounds more like the drivers. In many cases, new and current drivers have been developed to accommodate the changes with Windows operating system. Even with Apple. Go to Bamboo's site and seek updated drivers. That may fix everything for you.
