I can't figure out how
Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.
Unfortunately this vtech kidizoom digital camera does not play music at all, unless its coming from a game, and thats build into the camera, it does not have a music player or any music playing features aside from games possibly and you can not put in your own music, well ofcourse you can put music on the card but the camera will not play it.
The camera turns off as
Your camera has a lens error, this
is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock
generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!
Stuck lenses are probably the most common
reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair
chance of recovering use of your camera again
The fault is
commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it
having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera
was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and
tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply
become
dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.
If your camera
is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse
then contact the Vtech service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If
the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed
the
cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose
by
trying to fix this yourself.
Please click here
and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera
Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically
manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault.

I have changed the batteries and pressed the reset
Make sure the batteries are good and having the Ah required. Now if there is no response from a reset it is for sure that the camera processor is not responding to any command and is possibily dead.
You will have to remove- the tough job- to get access and see if there are smaller issues like a line break... attempt only with proper tools.
How do i turn mine on it wont work i tried new
Try inserting a tooth pick into the reset hole which can be found slightly to the left and below the on-off button. Apparently after batter changes, pressing the reset button is (sometimes?) needed.
How do I empty the photos onto my computer? when I
The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

What type of sd card do i need for the kidizoom
The only thing you really need to bother with is that you need to make sure you get SD cards, 2GB and smaller. Anything larger is actually an SDHC card and won't work in the Kidizoom. Any of the major brands will work fine, and there's no point in paying extra for higher speed.

Will not format a 4GB SD card
The Kidizoom camera works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card (the HC stands for High Capacity). While SDHC cards will fit into an SD device, they will not work in them. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
Vtech kidszoom camera changed batteries turned it
Probably not, I have fixed several digital cameras by doing this. This is for a GE E1235 but screws and other stuff shouldn't be hard to find.
Well I
decided to fix it my self.
1st: Take out all the screws (7 total) one is hidden under the av out
cover. Make sure u mark all the longer screw heads and location with a
marker so you know where they go. There were only to sizes so if you
mark the longer ones you should be ok.
2nd slowly pull the back of the camera back (BUT BE CAREFULL, do not
pull to far there are wires from the LCD and buttons to the camera.) Now
there is a little tab on the main board holding the wires from the LCD
to the camera. Flip it up and remove the LCD wires. After you do that
push the LCD wires back in and flip the tab back down. Be careful not to
damage wires or tab. Put case back together, put screws in where they
go, and wallah. Your camera should work. If not try again, and make sure
your properly putting wires in. If it doesn't work email me I will be
making YouTube video for this soon. REMEMBER TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I
AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU CAUSE!!!
My 8 year old son purchased a Vtech Pro camera
Hi. I would suggest that you attach first the camera on your computer then try going to My Computer or Computer then from there double check if the camera is being detected as a storage device, if yes you can just copy the Mp3 file that you have dowloaded and paste it on the Song or Audio folder on the Camera itself, or anywhere inside the camera where youcan paste the MP3 file, but i would suggest to paste it on the AUDIO or SONGS or any relative forlder on your camera. Hope This Helps
