I have the viper 791vx

Sounds like a bad door pin switch or the wiring to the pinswitch.
You'll have to verify all door pinswitches and the hood pin switch.

Thanks

My problem is i have

did you bypass the factory security system?, because without the transponeder key in the ignition the engine control computer and the anti-theft module will lock u out, no fuel to the engine, on a GM you bypass the VATS system with an aftermarket module, there should be a kit or module you can buy to do this on a Ford, you will need to contact the remote start support techs for the info on this and where to buy it an how to install it.

After 4 years of being turned off, it started screwing up again.

if your worried about it not being installed correctly you should take it to a shop in your area and have it professionally removed or properly installed. if it is a remote start system i wouldn't tackle it yourself. most alarm systems tie into the starter and or ignition circuits. if you want a quick fix look under neath the dash for a small black box with a bunch of colorful wires going to it. there will be a few plugs, one with 10 or more 20 gauge wires. this should be the power input along with light flash door trigger hood trigger etc etc. try unplugging it, the led light should stop and it should give you no more trouble. after doing this make sure you check that the vehicle still starts. if you have any other questions or are located in the Phoenix, Arizona area i would be more then happy to help.

Hello, i have an old

Something in the circuitry has gone wrong if you're lights flash. The alarm is getting the signal to activate and disarm except the remote doesn't give the signal to make the horn alarm chirp once's for on and twice to disarm. The exact same problem occurred with my service van alarm, a viper. It works fine but I have to go by the flashes or look at the red led light to make sure it is on.I just live with it as long as it works. I have tried everything to repair it with no luck. Please let me know if you figure it out, lol. I hope you'res will work again. Sincerely,

Car is NOT starting. Lights are not

is the car starting using the key? (manually), if so, then replace the remote battery, if problem still persists, then check the remote & the car's receiver...
or
the car's battery or some controller might be out-of-service!
new cars are electronically controlled, if any problem occurs, it jams the whole car,  perhaps this might be your case.. For your Safety: it is recommended to ask help from Honda Service Centre!!

Viper works but remote start and keyless entry does not

On the remote start part, it might be as simple as relearning the tach. To do this, crank the car with the key, press and hold the valet switch until the led lights and stays solid now release.Try the remote start. Need to know what kind of car to comment on doorlocks.

Battery went dead on vehicle

Make sure the battery was not put in with the cables on wrong. Then look, and make sure there was no other wires left off the battery,or unplugged. When the battery was put on,did the battery cable ends get cleaned? If you are not sure, remove them and re-clean them, they should be shiny,no grey,or black film on the contact area, this acts as a insulator, and the starter can not get enough amps from the battery. If none of this works.Get in the car and turn the key on,for 3 minutes, and let the computer learn, and reset. Then turn the key off,for about 30 seconds, and try to start it.If it does not start, the dealer will have to re flash the e c m,to get you going, removal on most new model cars, without a12 volt supply hook up in the aux plug in the car, will cause the car to loose memory. And if the battery looses voltage,to the car,it will also.I hope all this helps you,and if it is at all helpful, please let us know, thank you.

2006 Trailblazer & Viper 5301 with XK01

The brown should be the one you use (secondary accessory)
The fan/ac selection must be made by you via the temp control knobs.
If they are set to off - the fans wont just come on... they have to be selected ON, and to the desired temperature.
The alarm simply provides the 12V signal to the relay allowing power to the accessories.
Did you install this yourself?
Is the secondary ignition wired up too??
There could be other problems associated with the fans not coming on as well... electrical troubleshooting is difficult without actually being IN the vehicle.
Your local DEI dealer should be able to sniff out the problem in no time, and get you running for under $35.
Thanks for using FixYA!!
