Light sockets work if I unclip from metal frame and let hang out of unit
Hi Mark Check the cables, you will find some loose joints. The light frame/ assembly should be firm, if any part is moving or not sitting in its place, get that corrected. You don't need a rocket scientist to diagnose your problem.

My freezer does not go below -6 cel.,the thermostat has been changed, and the ice will not start since they changed the thermostat. what could be the problem
ok 0 cel. is 32 f - 6 cel is cold as hell frozen over so its cold enough LOL I would ask who ever replaced thermostat why the icemaker stopped working did they turn of water to it when they worked on it?

Your idea/plan sounds pretty good. There is a drip pan under the fridge right? it might be a good idea to run it into that. Good luck!
