Might be the transformer or the control circuit that pulses the supply to the transformer at various rates depending on the power setting selected.
I would suggest you first check the transformer is receiving a good supply before you spend more money.
Beware of the transformer secondary that, if it is working, produces a dangerously high voltage (typically 2 - 3000 volts) that is far beyond the capability of most multimeters.
We have an over the range GE microwave and my wife was cooking some pasta on the stove and used the vent fan on the microwave to dissipate the steam and when we were done eating she noticed that the steam from the pasta had gotten in between the glass on the microwave door, how can we get rid of this any ideas.

Your bottom door switch is probably defective, or its mount is loose, misaligned, or broken.
This is usually caused by opening the door while it's cooking (instead of hitting "stop" first) or slamming the door.
