I just installed a Dell
Have you tried 1234 or 0000. These are common codes for bluetooth devices that don't give a random code.
If that doesn't work, try connecting the tablet to the laptop instead of the other way around.

Monitor Menu
You press the #1 key on the bottom of the monitor to Exit the monitor menu. The #2 key selects different options. You should have two other keys that are used to scroll up and down before making a selection. Have you tried unplugging the monitor for a couple of minutes? That might reset the monitor so the menu doesn't come up.

ViewSonic VA720 Screen displays briefly then goes blank.
it looks like the Inverter's gone in your screen, it works like a starter in a florescent tube, it 'kick starts' your screen to come on. Turning it on/off many times eventually 'kick starts' your screen and makes it come on eventually.
Blurry monitor
Sounds like it could be a monitor problem, if it is not then it is definatly a video card problen within the pc, if you can try the monitor on another pc , if it works then its the video cardon your pc.

Monitor goes blank coming out of power save mode
I found this on the Internet...
"Press the "Input" button on your LCD monitor's front panel repeatedly at three- or four-second intervals until your monitor wakes up.
If your monitor is set to an incorrect input mode, it won't receive a video signal. After you reset the monitor to the proper input mode, it will receive the signal and wake up automatically."
I have provided a Link with more info for you!

Power light flashes momentarily; monitor will not turn on
It seems that you've already checked this no, but double check that the power cable in the back of the monitor is securely plugged in. My suspicions would be that there's some kind of breakage in the power cable itself. I suggest you inspect every inch of it carefully.
