I cleaned my vicks 5100 series, but it still won't put out a vaper. the green light is on and there is air coming out but no vaper. i also changed the filter and waited still no vaper any hints to

In the bottom of the humidifier is a little disk that vibrates to turn water to vapor. This gets covered in mineral deposits and won't vibrate properly. They usually suggest something like vinegar to clean it. I found that this didn't work for me. What did work was cleaning it with my Waterpic on the highest setting. It chipped away the deposits and allowed it to work. HOWEVER, once you get it running again, buy the slant fin mineral absorption pads to keep it running. If you have mineral-rich water like me, you'll go through them quickly, but you also won't have white deposits on your walls anymore.

My vicks 1.5 vaporizer doesnt put out steam after using 5 times, flaky brown/grey things are in water , why? cant it be fixed

Is it limed up?-- in other words, the Hardness (Lime and Calcium) in your tap water has clogged up the heating coil..) Possibly the little grey things floating in the water, could be the residue from the water, left behind in the process of evaporation. If this is the case-- gently heating and flushing Vinegar water thru the heating section of the Vaporizer, might be necessary every few times,- if your water is that 'hard'!

My vaaporizer only runs about 4 hrs and remains full-worked that way since day one. Feel like wasted money as bought a second one and the same thing. What is wrong with the #V150 SG 2UPC vaporizer?

It should run for 18-24 hours and shut off when you run out of water or you have a buildup of calcium on the heater Empty it and put fresh water in it and add a pinch of salt to the water. try that

I live in the Caribbean where the voltage is 220/240 so I need to know what size transformer I need to use with a 5.8amp Vicks vaporizer

Hi, you would need one that's around 1400 watts (watts = volts x amps so 240 x 5.8 = 1392)
I hope that helps.

Filled Watertank; water will not go open valve

It may be clogged with mineral scale. Empty the water that you now have in the tank and refill it with a 50/50 solution of White Vinegar and Bottled Distilled Water. Let it soak for several hours and then turn the unit ON. If it starts working as it should. let it run another 5 minutes, turn it OF and empty the tank. Refill the tank with Bottled Distilled Water and allow it to run at least 45 minutes to flush the system. After that, if you do not detect any vinegar odor, you can continue to use the remaining Distilled water.

If the unit didn't work as it should have after several hours of soaking. Turn the unit OFF and let it soak overnight. If this solved the problem, I would recommend that you continue to use Bottled Distilled Water for normal operation, rather than tap water.

Hope this helped solve the problem

Where can i get a new water tank cap for vicks model V745A?

This is a POSSIBLE answer: I found the manual at the Vicks site, read through it, but it did not mention replacement parts at all. However, at the very end of the manual was this paragraph, which might serve as a way for you to get what you need. Quoting the manual: If you have any questions or comments, call the Kaz Consumer Service Department at 1-800-VAPOR-1-2 or, e-mail [email protected] or, write to Kaz, Consumer Service Department, P.O. Box 544, Hudson, NY 12534, explaining just how the product is operating. Specify model number. Our Consumer Service Representative will advise you how to correct the problem yourself, or will ask you to return the product for repair or replacement.

Vicks caporiser is spitting water instead of steam

Clean the unti - and do not add salt. I live in a major hard water city...and was amazed at how much dirt the tank collected. I tried adding salt to to stop the spitting, which did make a lot more steam, but did NOT stop teh water spit. I also noticed, with salt added, water in tank would only last 4-6 hours, not the 18-24 hours it should. I just figured it out, and now mine works great again, and does not spit. I cleaned the water tank throughly, several rinses, then wiped out entire inside. If you want it to work like new, you have to keep your tank as clean as new. I am going to start filtering my water that I put in with a double pantyhose I made simply so there no more dirt ~ a clean tank will fix the problem, it did mine :)
