Tamper is cause by the bad internal/system battery that need to be replaced or you a bad plastic case which triggers the internal sensor on. Check the telephone port of your VX510. If it is moving or loose, pretty much you have a broken traces on the bottom board, and it can be repaired by opening the plastic casing and solder the broken port back to the board. But if you open the plastic case, a TAMPER MESSAGE will appear in your unit and only can be cleared by reloading the Verifone Tamper Removal Software. To Reboot the Verifone VX510 or VX570 terminal you will press the "F2" and "F4" buttons at the same time. When it prompts you for the password, you will enter it (this depends on which credit card provider you use) and it will bring you to a "sys mode menu 1" screen. The "F4" option should give you a "RESTART" option, which is the same as rebooting the machine.

It may have absorbed to much humidity. Buy new paper, and look for a 24lb paper and the highest number brightness like 99. Paper will absorb moisture acting like a sponge.

what you need to do is call your service provider ( bank ) and have them download the program in to the unit what the unit is telling you is the there is no files in the memory

Tcp ip errors 1001 to 1009 are going to be communication errors regarding your isp equipment. The first thing you want to do is not just power cycle your terminal but also the router and modem or just the one if you have a combo equipment. Just like the commercials use to say when your online your router may just go down quietly. So after unplugging everything wait about 2 mins and plug back in the router/modem wait for the lights to become silent all except the online light which should flash. Then once those return plug in your credit card terminal and attempt a transaction as normal if your still getting the error more then likely its an issue with your internet processor and i would advise calling to see if there is maybe an outage

Ensure thermal paper is being fed from underneath the roll, as it will only print on one side of the paper. hope this help :-)

bad RTC can be repaired. the machine is equipped with multiple sensors inside. if one of them goes bad, tamperring or bad rtc will come up. call us (775)358-2922 we can help you. thanks

You can change the printer roller in your VX510 then you will get the proper print from your [email protected]
