the keypad is bad

if you still seeing the backlight of the display, your lcd maybe bad in shape. the display assembly needs to be replaced. or maybe some other problem causing it too. if you still needs help on your verifone8020, call (775)358-2922 look for randy and maybe we can help you. thanks

If you have a "tamper message" this will need the NOS to be reset. This download can be done but the battery may be weak. call Frank @ 775-338-6634

There is no 9020. Did you mean a Nurit 8020?

there is not a life expectancy for a terminal. they will be "sunsetted" or "retired" when they become obsolete. that is dependent largely on the industry and how many new and improved machines are introduced to the market. the terminal can continue to work for years to come- but because the industry changes and security is tighter the terminal may become non compliant and it will need to be replaced with a compliant terminal. the cost changes from provider to provider

maybe the internal Battery in the MotherBoard has been weak ,

go setting >> then sleep mode >> select close

you should send it to nearest authorized service center
