I put a motherboard in my pc and i dont know where
http://eu.shuttle.com/archive/en/prod/mb/big/av49vn.jpg
ok man on this picture in the bottom of the pic there will be a sort of black rectangle with nine pins, 5 on bottom, four on top. This is where all your POWER SW,RESET SW,HDD LED,POWER LED will be plugged in. I could not find instructions for your board but for mine it is
Looking at the pins from the side where there are 5 pins on the bottom and 4 on top. The top two sould be the power led the two next to that should be the power switch, the bottom two to the left should be the hard drive led and the two next to that should be reset.
This is not the guaranteed position seeing as we have two completely different models.
Hope this helps.
The icons have purple color only
Couple of things, video card not in correctly either where the monitor plugs in or the card may not be correctly seated in the slot. Bung monitor even
Worst case scenario some of its video ram maybe damaged, I have seen similar issues, such as yellow lines down the screen and the like..
good luck :0
Just Plain stopped working
I'll assume you've already checked the obvious possibility that the outlet the computer is plugged into is not working.
Here's a diagram of the main power plug from the supply:
With a short wire (like a bent paperclip), short the green wire PS_ON
to the ground pin on either side of it (in the same row, not directly across in the plug!!). The power supply should start
up if it's working properly. If the supply doesn't come on, replace it. If it does, then you'll need to replace the main board.
That's the way electronic components usually fail. The initial surge when you turn something on causes a part that was ready to fail to go bad, the same way a light bulb usually burns out when you turn the light on, and not while it's already lit. So the computer was working fine, then the next time you turn it on....pffft!
I want to down load realtec hd driver
In task manager click on "new task" and then type "explorer.exe" into the dialogue box. If everything boots up then its somhow been removed from your startup process, most likly a virus.
Type "msconfig" into the run dialogue box (start>run) [start menu search in vista] and check your startup options.
To manually re-add explorer to the startup follow these instuctions carefully.
Type regedit into the run dialogue box (start>run) [start menu search in vista] navigate the folders on the left to Winlogon
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS NT/CURRENT VERSION/WinLogon
look for Shell double click it and in the value data box delete whats there and put this:
explorer.exe

THE DRIVERS MAYBE CORRUPTED AND YOU NEED TO GET IT UPDATE OR RE AVTIVATED
Seagate ultra u320 scsi drive
SCSI is a class of knowledge on its own - drive numbering etc etc - Have you set up the drive cable with the termination block at the end ??.
There are plenty of recovery programs around ( if you have a failing drive or deleted filed etc) but first you have to get the drive 'recognised' by the system.
Try also to Google on "SCSI setup" solutions and try
www.youtube.com also. There maybe a video on how to set the drive up, there.

Onboard bios disabled on Kt3 Ultra CE motherboard
all you have to do is reset the cmos, find the jumper and clear it, if you cant find the jumper then remove the motherboard battery for 10 mins (make sure the there is no power cord attached) that should reset the cmos, it also could be an old pc in which the bios doesn't support 64bit addressing, this means it will only recognise a hard drive of up to 40 gig, you could try a bois flash but i don't recomend it as you can kill the computer if something goes wrong
Fan
instead of cleaning it by taking it apart,
try to clean it without taking the cover out.{hassle free}
tools needed:
2 cottonbuds
1 powerful blower{hair blower will do}
1 alcohol/water{used if the dirt is hardly stick in the spindle}
instruction:
hold 1cottonbud and place it between the spindle{to make spindle not to spin while cleaning}
take the other cottonbud and poke the dirt out of the spindle one by one
then use blower to blow and clean the dirt out of the fan
dip cottonbud to the alcohol solution and use it to clean the hardly poke dirt
then blow dry your fan

Fan Noise
The best solution is that you have to buy another new Fan for your pc before it move out of hand.
The fan is faulty and the little checking you have done is some how recommended for the fan to have work better but since then you have to change it for a better one before it have anything to do with your processor Malfunction.
bye.
rate this solution .

BIOS PROBLEM
I don't think you have a problem with the BIOS version but more likely with the settings.
Please enter in the BIOS and be sure that under: main menu, ide configuration, Parallel ATA IDE controller is set up as Primary. Then you go under advance menu, Serial ATA IDE controller and be sure you don't have RAID.
Copy of the manual can be find here

Let's start with this checks and then let me know.
Can't see the drive
2 possibilities.
1. How is the drive powered? If you are relying the the USB tpo power it it its very likely the Laptom does not have the power to run it. So it will need an external pwer supply.
It could also need formatting to match your computer which is mostl like ly NTFS- but it should be formatted to 32bit to be universal.
To format Go the Contol Panel /Ad/min tools /Computer Management/Storage/Disk management - and see if thedrive is listed there.
More thgan this I cannot help you without have 'hands on'access
