the sensor that sits on the evaporator may be faulty

Make sure water line valve is turned on where it taps in to water line,and that ice shut off is down not up, check to see if water is in ice tray or if it is dry if no water or ice is present then water is not getting to it if water tap valve is open then water valve in ice maker is off or ice shut off arm is up instead of down. Try pouring warm water in ice tray see if that will get it started.

It still could be low on refrigerant. Check suction pressure to see if it is lower than normal. Check the suction line to see if it is WARM - near room temperature. Check the compressor discharge to see if it is hot. check the Condenser to see if it is warm. Check the capillary tubes to see if they are warm. Check the evaporator to see if it is extremely cold near inlet and check the outlet to see if it is room temperature. check the amp draw on the compressor to see if it is to high. if these conditions are present then it is under charged.

plug it back in remove the bottom cover and and Push rocker switch to freeze.

Replace water pump.

Clean out drain lines and pull out pump and dissemble water pump and clean out. also clean dump valve.

I don't know what model you have but if you have the combo unit than check to make sure the drain line for the frig part is not stopped up. if just the ice maker than check the water supply line leaking at solenoid valve inlet side. Tighten or replace fitting, if not there than check water line leaking at solenoid valve outlet side, If so than replace water line and fitting.

Dose compressor fell too hot ? There could be several things wrong. First you will need to get out your Volt meter to make all test. With unit calling for freeze cycle the condenser fan and compressor should be running. Check at the compressor to make sure your getting power to the over load switch and then through it to compressor. if not then check to see if compressor is to hot and has the switch open> If so then unplug unit to let compressor cool down so switch will close. when switch closes plug unit back up and start up unit check to see it compressor starts if so then you will need to see what is causing compressor to over heat. could be dirty condenser, low charge, fan dropping out, Bad compressor.

Check the bin arm spring you will have to disassemble the front of the ice maker to do this and check timer motor could be getting hung up. not a cleaning problem. or replace the complete head.

It is air locked you need to make sure you did not double trap it and water line is not running up hill. i take it that your model dose not have a water pump on it.
