I have an existing Tivo box and getting a new tivo v6 can I link up the old box with the new one. Do I just connect between the two HDMI sockets with my power line adapter that I have. Regards Clive

You connect both via cat5 cable with both units being in your network. Both units will be identified in the other by the name or location given when setting up. The location in each unit is in MY Shows and then at the bottom labeled devices. They will be tied together for moving from one to the other.

To transfer my shows from Tivo box to new V6 box.

First connect the new unit to your network and then start moving shows from one and download them to the new box. I have four units and they are all tied to each other. You need to set up the new one with a name Each unit will end up on the other for transferring. This is found when you open my shows and the other will be in devices at the bottom of the column that starts with ALL

How do I set up a tivo series2 to a new digital tv. Do I need analog to digital converter?

Analog to digital converter is for OTA transmission. You are using a cable system, right? If so you have to feed into your Tivo the cable output signal from your cable box and set your tivo to correct rf or video input. Since cable tuner is determining channel all you can do to record is set the channel on your cable unit and program your tivo to turn on and record the input at appropriate time..

My new Tivo OTA DVR remote seems to be draining batteries rapidly.

Internal circuit fault to remote control. No remedy; other than buying a new one. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchase a suitable one. To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the sites. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Visit some on-line sites too, which deals with electronic spare parts. If you wish to get further advice over phone; visit https://www.6ya.com/

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Search the site by type in this key phrase "how to test a remote control "in the "search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get the related post quickly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsSCNCW3IbQ [open and clean] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp-l1uh-5gE [open and clean]

My tivo HD is not broadcasting or recording in HD

As far as I know, you need the cable cards to get HD through the Tivo, because they're what does the HD decoding and output.
