Not sure what the problem is but if you have a (apple or Droid) smartphone you might want to search your app store for Ac/Heater Remote applications. Bonaire might even have their own. Then you can at least tell if the issue is with your remote or your appliance (for free). Best case is you can control your appliance with your smartphone.

The laptop failed the Power On Self Test (POST). Press F2 and check which part isn't responding. You may need to go into an Advanced or Diagnostics mode in the system utility (BIOS) to see if the motherboard sees all components. In all probability, your computer can't find a boot drive. The entire drive may have failed; in this case, the drive might not be listed in the BIOS. Sometimes, this happens when a cable is loose. Depending on the age of the laptop, there could be a data/power cable at the drive or one cable for power and one for data.

Alternatively the boot record/location is unreadable or the "table of contents" is corrupt. If you have a DVD drive, try putting an OS repair disc into the drive. Then try using the tools to repair the OS. (You will need a UNIX repair disc or the Windows OS disc appropriate for your system. (Match the version, service pack and 32-bit or 64-bit).) In some cases, you may need to OS disc to reinstall the OS to a new drive. Then use your backup to restore your personal files. (I hope you have a good backup and do a backup regularly.)

I hope this helps.
