Copy light scribe information? No it won't. If your burner supports light scribe you have to start a editor for light scribe and putt the information there manually and then burn it on a light scribe disc.

It should burn to any type disk provided it's a full-featured burning drive. Check the manufacturers specs and you should see that it will burn cd-r and dvd disks.

Go to Spinwise and see if they have a fresh download--sounds like your program is corrupted. Or try going back t a time when you know it was working, and do a system restore to that date.

make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in or you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device control panel admistrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver,roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall hope this helps if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders







This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Upper Filters

Lower Filters

Upper Filters.bak

Lower Filters.bak

If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

That depends entirely from where the signal comes and what connections are available - from a pc you only need a power cable and an USB cable.

DVD burners only last so long unfortunately! I've replaced many myself and have found that it's also not worth buying any lite-on in my opinion. Have a look around using the link below and you'l get a decent brand at a low price. Once a DVD writer has burned lot's of discs the lens itself becomes burnt out as far as I am aware, sometimes after 200 burns with cheap ones.

Individual drives - the pioneer at £18.99 isd a great buy!

Assuming you've used the 'eject' function in the software already.
Generic answer: Look for pin-hole size hole on front or back of CD drive (may have to open PC case to get at it) and push into it with the end of an unwound paperclip. Meant to release the disk. Hope this works for your drive.

Hi, assuming the rest of the drives are working there are three probable issues.

1. The cabling for power or data is loose or faulty, check the cabling, remove and reseat it, then try again with new data cable and swap power connectors with one of the other drives. If the results do not vary it's not the cables, If the problem moves with the data cable but is not resolved by replacing the cable it is the logic board at fault.

2. Try cleaning the drive, do not use brush cleaners as they can damage the head, just used a compressed gas can or air compressor on less than 20lbs/in, if this does not work...

3. The second drive may be faulty, check with the manufacturer/manual. Many of these devices require a specific model or one of only a few models for compatibility, replac with an appropriate model.
